John McCain’s top campaign strategist said in an interview Sunday that Sarah Palin was dishonest as the GOP’s vice-presidential nominee and that her untruths have done long-term damage to her public image.
“There were numerous instances that she said things that were – that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with,” said Steve Schmidt in an interview broadcast on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” “And that opened the door to criticism that she was being untruthful and inaccurate. And I think that is something that continues to this day.”

Nonetheless, Schmidt’s not making any points on the Right.
Schmidt may have had some talent once upon a time, but he’s really stepped in the wrong pile with this. I’m sort of disgusted.
It sounds like Schmidt is trying to send out some positive vibes to potential, future employers. If Governor Huntsman is a possible candidate, he needs to start doing something to become more widely known. Just can't see Newt having enough appeal as a presidential candidate, unless some unusual events throw things his way.

We know that any Republican Presidential candidate that hires this piece of Schmidt is worth just that.
We are barely hanging onto this country and this guy’s biggest concern is someone that is currently not holding any office whatsoever and he doesn’t complain or fight anything Obama is doing.
Schmidt, McKinnon, Mike Murphy. Anyone that hires these clowns to run their campaigns, don’t vote for them in the Primaries or the General Elections either.
I took it as Schmidt handicapping who his next employer will be. He thinks Romney will be paying his invoices, but in case he doesn’t, he thinks maybe Huntsman or Gingrich will hire him.
I would agree with you. Sarah’s debut speech was excellent for both delivery and content. It showed her potential as a future leader for this country.
A few days ago I pulled up and re-read Obamas’s debut speech at the 2004 DNC convention and it was nothing but lies. People were inspired by the delivery not the content.
Sarah will be ready when her time comes.
