John McCains top campaign strategist said in an interview Sunday that Sarah Palin was dishonest as the GOPs vice-presidential nominee and that her untruths have done long-term damage to her public image.
There were numerous instances that she said things that were that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with, said Steve Schmidt in an interview broadcast on CBSs 60 Minutes. And that opened the door to criticism that she was being untruthful and inaccurate. And I think that is something that continues to this day.

Yeah, Right! McCain was well on his way to a landslide victory until he brought Sarah on board. I believe that. I really, really do. What the hell are these people on?

Still reading Palin’s book. Schmidt acted like an arrogant jerk in it. I am imagining he didn’t like the characterization, though she is only saying what happened: she is not calling him any names in the book. But he set her up to fail. In fact, last night while reading, I wondered by his actions during the campaign if he was secretly working for Obama. Straight Talk Express, my foot.

If he said those things about my wife and called her a liar I would put a hurt on him he would never forget. Hpoefully Todd will do that if he and Schmidt ever cross paths.

I dare another Rino to pick this lying, liberal atheist, Schmidt, to run his/her campaign. I'll work for the Democrat. Pawlenty has picked him up.

The people who worked for McCain have done nothing but attack Sarah. Both during the election campaign and afterwards they called her a “whack job” and other insults.
They screwed up the McCain campaign and now have tried to make a career of attacking Sarah. Why hasn't McCain told these people to shut up? Why hasn't McCain come out defending Sarah? The Republican establishment has tried to destroy Sarah. Do you notice that no Democrat politicians attack her publicly? Just the McCain people.

Agreed. Screw them all, gunner.

You’ve pretty much nailed it. He’s a hired gun, and knows that Palin wouldn’t hire him to clean dog s#it off her high heels. So he’s using the medias hatred of Palin to try and set himself out there for the next politician who needs a hack. I would not be a bit surprised to see HIM working for a Democrat in the next election, in fact I’m betting that’s what he’s aiming for with this tactic.
We know what he is, he just doesn’t get paid as well as those 13 year old girls from El Salvador.

The GOP needs a cleaning out big time. Reform the Republicans or form a new party.
