51% Still Blame Bush for Nations Economic Woes
As the nations unemployment rate remains stubbornly high, 51% of voters nationwide continue to believe that the economic woes can still be blamed on Administration of George W. Bush. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 41% hold the opposite view and believe the policies of Barack Obama are to blame.
Those figures are unchanged from a month ago. While 85% of Democrats blame Bush and 70% of Republicans blame Obama, unaffiliated voters are more evenly divided. Forty-six percent (46%) blame Bush and 42% blame Obama.
Ninety-six percent (96%) of those in the Political Class blame Bush.

I blame all politicians. Close D.C. down for at least 10 years and see how much better off we will be. Maybe make that a permanent closure.

The Race Card and the Blame Bush Card have both expired. Time for the rodents to find another lame excuse.

When is someone going to point out that at the end of’06 the eccomy was growing at about 2.5% and unemployment was below 5%. The Dems take over congress and all hell breaks loose.

Blow the bridge and "go Galt?" Not a bad idea.
That being said, I'm still curious as to why (oh, hell--I already know why) 51 percent of Americans are so stupid as to believe the WH spin. While the recession began under Bush and he is PARTIALLY to blame for our economic woes, why do they ignore story after story talking about the apprehension of businesses of any size to hire workers because of the policies and taxes the OBAMA administration is trying to shove down our throats?

The people who voted for Obama are in denial. Some have peeled off, but are loathe to blame themselves for their poor 2008 choice. Month by month, attitudes will grudgingly change for the squishy independent portion of Obama voters.

I was going to say them same thing. The only way I blame any Republican for this mess is the fact that they lost the Congress in ‘06. The democrats own this but the media won’t paint it that way and most still believe the media.

Michael Steele needs to take time out from his paid speechs and book writing and begin a concentrated effort on educating the people of this counrtry about what happened in 2006 and just who is to bleme for the horrible state this country is in. Of couse this assumes that the people are smart enough to learn. Not sure after the last election its possible.
