MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-Calif.; Kaine; Steele.

STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.; former Gov. Doug Wilder, D-Va.; Romer.
They are not talking over her either:o)
I’ll tell ya Carley, its hard to say enough good things about all the great conservative gals we have in the conservative movement! They really do blaze the trail!Must drive the rats insane!
She would look about right with an apple stuck in her big mouth.
NOw now,.....
Steele started out saying we can't take back the House this year which seems like an inappropriate thing for him to say.
STEELE: [interrupting] ... not this year, and Sean, Ill say...
But then Steele suggests the reason why we may not take back the House is because he doesn't want a majority if it includes RINO's.
HANNITY: [interrupting] ... you dont think so?
STEELE: Well, I dont know yet, because I dont know all the candidates yet. We still have some vacancies that need to get filled, but then the question we need to ask ourselves is: if we do that, are we ready?
HANNITY: Are you?
[cross-talk]
STEELE: I dont know. And thats what Im assessing and evaluating right now. Those candidates who are looking to run have to be anchored in these principles.... because if they dont, then theyll get to Washington, and theyll start drinking that Potomac River water, and theyll get drunk with power and throw the steps out the window.
Steele could have been more positive about taking back the House but Steele seems to be saying that we don't want a majority if it includes RINO's. Isn't that what most of us want?.
I watched Sean do a (partially) live remote show years ago. He really is talented in getting a show on the air.
He started at 2pm doing a taped hour for broadcast at 5pm, so all of his verbs had to be in a tense that referenced events that hadn’t happened yet, but would have happened by the time that hour went on air.
Then the 3pm and 4pm hours went live, and he and his guests (Ollie North and Gordon Liddy) had to pretend that they had not said what they said during the hour in the can, but not yet aired.
He was linked to NY and his call screeners by computer, and also took questions from his live audiences. During the commercial breaks, he signed copies of his book.
What he was able to juggle and control was very impressive!
And, I just remembered, we had a serious summer thunderstorm. In the outdoor venue, (Maryland State Fair) I was worried that the whole table of radio commentators might be vaporized by a lightning strike!
With Steele, the old saying comes to mind:
“with friends like this who needs enemies”
Or is he doing a macchiavelian/sun tzu thing? “Never let yor enemies know how strong you really are”
Ha! I’ve already got Lynn Cheney’s path marked out: Congress to Governor to veep or prez. Six years could get her in line. (Wouldn’t that just kill the Democrats, moving from Palin to Cheney as consecutive Republican Presidents!)
However good she is she already benefits by being Cheney’s daughter (else she wouldn’t have a chance on the Sunday shows at this point), so I think she’s really got to build some governing credentials. She’s already got the experience in foreign affairs, she really needs to be in elected executive office (a governorship) to complete her portfolio.
Robert Reich commented that race issues were in the election last year. Left unsaid is that zero and the Democrats were the ONLY ones talking about race. Zero wins? It’s his race. Zero loses? It’s only because of his race. Then the zero crowd issued statement after statement accusing any opposition to him as racist, in either party.
The fact is, zero is, was and will continue to be a racist, along with his ugly wife. Democrats could not get off race as an issue and now they are trying to say ‘everyone does it’ just like they excuse other transgressions.
Sun Tzu, et. al. assumed that you would do this until it was time to do battle, then you'd win.
Steele and the GOP don't seem to understand the fighting and winning part, only the looking weak part.
They all can't be Rush or Levin.
For example, Beck makes my nose run. ;>..)
But kudos to them all.
It really is a talent and a tough job.
There is a heck of a lot more to it than most see.
What Sean and Beck do is almost a near impossible task. Three hours of radio live on the air and then an hour of live tv,books, special appearances, remotes, you can't be faking stuff. If you are not good it will show.
I’d like Summers to go out on a limb and suggest that maybe his party is genetically disadvantaged in all the sciences, including economics.
It's my opinion that the real reason it was okay for Leitner to go on vacation is that, like most Obama administration personnel, he is completely useless in a crisis. The country might actually be safer if he is skiing instead of in a position of importance.
If I had to guess, she is looking back on how her dad was treated and then saying to herself,"now am I really up for that?"
It's a tough call.
She probably realizes how much she could do for the country but how much abuse can she stand as well?
Exactly without race and bashing GW,they would have had nothing to say.
