On the lighter side, and for those interested in outfitting their vehicle (particularly pickup trucks) with the necessary implements to address global warming and climate change, I offer the following video:
Ranch Hand pickup truck accessories are made in Texas. So, while we are down here, GAil (aka the boss) gave me permission, purely as a cost saving measure you understand, to purchase a couple of long desired accessories for the truck.
I didn't have to be told twice...hehehe.
Here are some more pictures.
FYI...on the lighter side.
LOL! That’ll teach those damn deer to stand in the road!!!
Evil Black Truck. Looks like something Mad Maxx would like.
Yer star is upside-down.
No, wait, do you need to have a license to catch cows in Texas?
I’m running an F350: since I don’t bump into things, I don’t feel the need for all the tubing. But that’s just me...
On the other hand, owning a Government Motors vehicle should be prohibited for any sane person...
Otherwise, relax and enjoy.
I love mine.
I put it on years ago because of the deer that don't seem to read the "deer crossing" signs and jump in the road where ever they want to.
I've had deer do that a few time, but not with my present vehicle.
I called it a deer catcher when I installed it, but now call it a cop catcher.
A few years ago, a cop ran into me and the cop catcher saved my vehicle from a lot of damage.
As it was, it cost the city about 20,000 to fix up my vehicle.
LOL, I had them use top of the line replacement parts.
Here's a pic of the Limonomomol Phenomozine:
Those that live in wide open spaces, and/or deer/bear/bighornsheep etc areas are wize to have some protection for when wildlife wanders onto roads.
I am sure that highly respected FR member Jeff Head didn't install his accessory because he "bumps into things"
I do respect Ford Motor Company for not buying into the government bailout program, but Ford's just don't come close to matching GMC vehicles.
Relax...and enjoy.
: > )
I need one of those for my patrol car....dang jaywalkers always trying to damage my crown vic.
Remember that we are all thinking and praying for you.
Very nice, Jeff! I wish those bumpers would guard against damage from elk, moose and buffalo, though. :-(
Excellent!
I’ve been looking to outfit my GMC Sierra (looks like a very similar model to what you have), and there are some good ideas there.
FRegards,
LH
By the way, it’s good to see your name not on a hospital thread. I hope everything is going well.
Looks good, when are you going hunting? lol
Nice...
They work, too. Living in deer country, my son convinced me to put a similar guard on the front of my 1-ton Chev crew-cab dually. Since then I’ve hit three deer and a moose, with not so much as a cracked light lens. Poor critters didn’t fare so well, though......
Nice. A lot sleeker looking than the ones common on oilfield trucks up here. Hope you are doing well!
