Thats not very west coast of you but welcome to Texas.

We’re in Ft. Bragg, California which is another coastal town just 44 miles south of Ferndale, and I didn’t feel anything either.

I think there might be something to be learned by studying such reflective quakes. Basically to look through the records, finding a dozen pairs that might fit the profile, then running a line between each pair.
Of course there are a huge number of variables involved, but working in such an enormous scale acts to simplify the equation.
Thanks!
I just called Boulder city, they felt it but all is okay.
Geron, how close was this to Ventura?
They left about a week ago yes?
Nully? I heard evacuations, power out but no injuries yet reported?
They’re talking about a big aftershock on Twitter. Gas leaks and no electricity in Eureka. The folks sound scared.
I’m not Geron, but I can tell you that this quake was up near the Oregon border. Ventura is one hour’s drive west of Los Angeles, in the Southern end of the state... so not close. However some felt it mildly down here too. I live in Los Angeles and have been through many quakes in my almost 70 years!
Hmm.
Yet it was felt up in Roseburg Oregon which is not a coastal town.
4.5 after shock....just a few minutes ago.
