Full-scale rebellion ahead
World Net Daily ^ | January 9, 2010 | Henry Lamb

The underlying reason for America's past greatness is the freedom of her people. As the people's freedom is diminished, so is America's greatness. Once lost, neither freedom nor the nation's greatness can be easily regained. The people's freedom has been dramatically eroded in recent years, and the Marxist majority now in control of the federal government is trying hard to extinguish those few flames that still flicker.

The underlying principle of America's system of government is clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence: Governments derive their just powers "from the consent of the governed." People are free when they control their government. When government controls the people, there can be no freedom.

For most of the 20th century, the philosophy of Karl Marx permeated most of Europe and made strong inroads in America. The strong anti-communist movement of the 1950s collapsed when political power was abused. Except for a brief period during the Cuban Missile Crisis, communism, socialism and Marxism faded from the American vocabulary. Instead, "give peace a chance," the war on poverty and environmentalism filled the popular agenda.

The new agenda required new government involvement. Lyndon Johnson's 1960s War on Poverty promised to end poverty through government supervision and redistribution of wealth. Detroit's "Model Cities" program was the predecessor of today's "Sustainable Communities" agenda. Detroit provides a great example of why these Marxist policies should be avoided at all costs.

I read this quote in a book recently, and it has stuck in my mind:

“There is not greater weapon than a free people who want to stay free”.

So true, now let’s show them!

Even welfare “recipients” squawk when it’s suggested they be drug tested in order to receive their “benefits”!

The rebellion began in 2006 when the Democrats began taking control of both Houses of Congress. It ended successfully on November 4, 2008 when the Democrats tightened their control of both Houses of Congress and by fraud, in my opinion, took the WhiteHouse.
The rebellion was against the Constitution.

Rebellion? Yeah, right. Start a thread on FR advocating a one-day general strike and see how much support you get. If you can’t get people to risk their job or at least burn a vacation day to join an angry mob and burn some trash cans, how can you expect them to take up arms against the government?

The rebellion won’t start until the welfare system crashes and the looter class decides to “take what’s owed them”. That will finally scare the middle class off the sofa and into the streets. As long as the government can keep the welfare checks coming and most people working, nothing will happen.

Watch what happens in the Ma. election.
If Brown wins and the democrats prevent
him from being seated before the health care vote
they will have shoved us to a tipping point where
acceptance of continued usurpation means enslavement.
Their disregard for law and civility can only mean
they see no need for the sham any longer.

It is the canary in the coal mine.

I'm free. If the government wants to test that, I'm ready.

That subject was really hot last year and seemed to go away. I will do what I can to shut my investments down if it comes to that.
I’m sure they’ll find a way to put me in jail.

You got it. This dose of full unfettered Liberalism will bring a strong reaction in November. Solid Right Center candidates will clean clock in a lot of Donk districts. In addition we will get a lot of real Conservatives in the primary in the solid districts.

And woe betide the US if the belief that the ballot box doesn't matter becomes widespread.

“As long as the government can keep the welfare checks coming and most people working, nothing will happen.”

The other thing that you don’t mention is that many conservatives get government checks of one sort or another.

One can imagine that they may talk the talk, but if their check is endangered, it would be difficult for them to walk the walk.
