I was a guest this morning on Ray Dunaways show on WTIC 1080 (Hartford) to discuss Democrat Richard Blumenthals bid to replace Chris Dodd in the U.S. Senate. Ive been covering the Connecticut attorney generals legal record for years here at Overlawyered as well as at my other site, Point of Law. For details on his bullying, legally ill-founded ventures into litigation against gun makers and dealers, check here, here, here, here, etc., while for the aromatic tobacco-fee angles, you can start here and here. For the time he sued his own state client, see this 2002 post (& welcome Instapundit readers).

This jerk is nothing more than an Eliot Spitzer wanna-be with hair!!
Great links here.
I wonder if he is fabulously rich like Spitzer and Whitehouse.
There seems to be a pattern here, at least with Spitzer and Whitehouse. Ridiculously wealthy man becomes showboat Attorney General "Champion of the People" against evil corporations like the ones that send his trust fund dividend checks every quarter. Champion of the people becomes a household word, and gets elected Senator and helps push the elite controllers' agenda.
More about the likely Dem nominee for Dodd’s seat.
He’s got the edge, no doubt, but I don’t think he’s unbeatable. It will take a very skilled campaign to win this.
