The underlying reason for America's past greatness is the freedom of her people. As the people's freedom is diminished, so is America's greatness. Once lost, neither freedom nor the nation's greatness can be easily regained. The people's freedom has been dramatically eroded in recent years, and the Marxist majority now in control of the federal government is trying hard to extinguish those few flames that still flicker.
The underlying principle of America's system of government is clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence: Governments derive their just powers "from the consent of the governed." People are free when they control their government. When government controls the people, there can be no freedom...

Reminds me of a song from DEVO.
“Freedom of choice is what we got.
Freedom from choice is what we want.”
Are we there yet?
I have it cocked and ready...somebody shout charge. :)
LOL- Good Lookin Out!
With that coherent post I applauad. On the other hand if the lights go out do I need to steal my cousins high-powered rifle and defend myself without guidance?
I too fought for this Constitution. One thing I learned most is vigilance. Being prepared and organizing are not bad things, just in case the system fails.
And the system is failing. Every day there is a new attack on our freedoms. Whether it is the federal government taxing and regulating us into submission,. Or the TN case where Gideon bibles may no longer be given to high school students because of ONE complaint. Or politicians who don’t listen to us.
There is a day of reckoning coming soon - whether at the ballot box or massive disobedience - remains to be seen.
"Americans who prefer Marxist, redistributionist, government-managed lives will continue to accept the loss of freedom and the decay of America. Americans who cherish freedom will continue to train their troops and attack at the primaries, in preparation for a full-scale rebellion on Nov. 2, 2010."My comment is that we should be thinking about the PRIMARIES now and not about the general election. Time enough for thinking about the general election AFTER the primaries.
The primaries are where we have a chance to toss the RINOS onto the scrap heap of history.
If you think honest elections are going to save us you are being naive. Those days are over, better arm up.
Seriously, I don't think the problem will be a lack of guns and ammo. It seems that those who do have guns, have plenty.
I see it as really a question of unity, ability and sustainability.
Where do we all assemble, whom do we gather around, what is our alternative form of beliefs/government?
How do we deal the enemy's numerical advantage (compared to each one of us individually or in small groups). How do we deal with the enemy's superior firepower, to include heavy weapons, armored vehicles and aircraft?
How do we feed ourselves, rest, get first aid and medical attention, protect our families while we are in the field, etc.
I don't mean to put a damper on things, but I think a successful rebellion requires more than a lot of well armed and determined individuals (important though that may be as a starting point).
With all due respect, I think arming up is only the first step.
There is the small problem of where the people fighting against government tyranny are going to rest and resupply. They will need a place to sleep when they are not on the fighting or on the run. They will need a source of drinking water and food. They will need doctors and medical supplies (antibiotics and pain killers and lots of bandages) and a place to recover.
Just mentioning some things off the top of my head.
Along with arming up has to be stocking up all kinds of supplies - then thinking about how to disperse them and doing that so you are still able to survive and carry on if you can't return to your home base.
Lastly, friends you can count on and work with.
There is the old saying that friends help you move, true friends help you move bodies.
Well, not so much friends for moving bodies, but people who can be trusted enough to do what needs to be done when the time comes.
Also the forces in power will do everything they can to make life hard for those opposing them. They won't go down easy.
Martial law with suspension of legal due process, Mass arrests and round ups for being in or suspected of supporting the opposition, Restricting all movement to only government approved travel with lots of police and military checkpoints, Rationing food (so people don't have much to supply other people who are living life off the official grid), etc. come to mind off the top of my head.
How to deal with all that (and more) comes with what goes along with arming up, in my opinion.
;-)
We are not anywhere near the point where violence could be condoned.
No but we grow closer with every usurpation by the democrats, should Brown win his election but not
be seated in time to vote on health care will be
another line crossed, at some point the people must
MAKE their will be heard.

The vast majority of Americans are sheep. I believe only some percentage of those arming up and expecting trouble won’t punk out. But this is America and the Spirit and Tradition that birthed this Nation sitl lives in some. (Plus, I hate Evil.)
You seem to be expecting perfect linerities in the application of Power by government. I do not. Anyone declaring martial law in America damn well better be on solid Constitutional ground. If he is not but expects ALL of his forces to follow his orders against the people he will be in for a rude awakening.
You are right; Force is a last resort. This world would be a chaotic place if it weren’t. Somewhere there is a line. IF that line is crossed, it’s ON. THAT is the American way.
As for what beliefs we rally around....geeez...I’d thought that’d be the most obvious.
The Constitution.
The Constitution.
I mention that because in the groups I have been affiliated with, there was a dispute / schism between the people who were more of a libertarian vs religious conservatives.
Things like the Christian foundation of the country vs freedom of religion / freedom from religion, the war on drugs (legalize 'em vs outlaw 'em) are some differences that seem to crop up over time.
Kind of low on ammo ain’t you?
