Red Mass Group is reporting that according to the State House News Service, Senator Paul Kirk (D, MA) would continue to serve in the United States Senate in order to insure that he was present to cast the 60th vote for cloture for the Health Care Reform bill in spite of a possible election victory by Republican Scott Brown.
What also looks good is that the MA Dims have got their panties in a wad, suggesting they know something we don't...like internal polls showing Coakley fading fast!
I tried pushing the button but, it don’t work!
Maybe we could pay some of the security guards to throw Kirk’s goatsmelling ass out in the snow if Scott does win.
Sounds like some Mass Patriots will have to come to town and haul his a&* out the door!!!Should be fun!!!
Okay.
I suggest tasers and pepper spray.
Seems to me Kirk is just one in a long line of DIM-ocrats that collectively put the “A$$” in M-ASS-achusetts.
Hmmm, Rodney King came to my mind.
Dems sound scared.

Send him $15.00
He may be able to sneak his way in.
What is the law with the special election, anybody know? Does the newly elected Senator take office immediately? Sadly, I would expect Dems. to push healthcare through if they can, before Brown could be sworn in. I’m sure there’s a legal process to certify election results, etc. and then, the new Senator has to go to Washington to be sworn in. Look for Dems. to drag out that election certification process if Brown wins.
(Hey, this is my first FR post! How’d I do?)
We already have a constitutional crisis, congress and the administration ignore the Constitution!
Do you have a link (or PDF link) for the State House News Service article cited in the Red Mass post? Red Mass didn't include a link, and the SHNS site is subscriber-only. I'd really like to read the whole exchange. Thanks!
That doesn't really matter to the Mass. Dems. Remember, they changed the law on a whim in order to get Kirk appointed to Kennedy's seat immediately.
Don't fool yourself into thinking that the law will restrain them.
Good post...
Dumb, Paul. You didn’t learn anything from your old boss. This type of arrogance just might be what pushes Scott over the top.
Sending $ 9.12 sends a message too!!
That was what happened to me as well. I take the red mass guy at his word. It is not beyond the realm of possibility for a guy that promised not to interject himself into the Senate race when he accepted the interim appointment yet was on stage the other day when the Kennedys endorsed Coakley.
I get the impression that this will blow up over the next few days so the source material will likely emerge somewhere.
