Neil Cavuto just read news crossing the wire.
Two fighter jets were launched by NORAD from Tyndall AFB in FL due to an issue with an unruly passenger on an Air Tran flight from Atlanta to San Francisco.
Hopefully, more follows soon.
Plane has landed at Colorado Springs airport.
A young man was taken into custody after the flight was diverted.
The man was thought to be intoxicated and locked himself in the bathroom.
The crew radioed the situation, and the fighters were launched.
Everyone's safe on the flight .. the passenger is in custody.

Upon entering the plane, he said to the flight attendant, "I'd like to be seated next to a lady with large breasts". The flight attendant was NOT amused. When he started to sober up (it was a long flight), he was mortified, and slunk down in his seat for the rest of the flight. Of course, we've never let him forget it.

Traveled a lot of miles to the Caribbean and back. Have to travel light and maximize your tools of the road. They don’t have a Radio Shack on Montserrat. Zip ties are just about invaluable. I have them up to 3’ long and 1/2 inch thick. Available in any Home Depot. Use them to tie antennas and antenna masts to trees, or hold the door closed on a hut where you dont know who is outside. I usually leave a bundle as a parting gift to my hosts. :)

“jihad on the cheap” ...this econoclass jihad might expand into other venues of transit if they are following a pattern already done in London. Keep your eyes open and watch carefully fellow commuters on even short trips.
Oh yeah, that sounds like a good many years ago when smoking was also permitted. In fact, I remember champagne flights to Las Vegas!

Police are attending a security alert Friday at London’s Heathrow Airport.
One passenger told Sky News armed police boarded a flight, believed to have been bound for Dubai, and took a man off in handcuffs. Sniffer dogs were brought on board.
Sky’s home affairs correspondent Mark White said what appears to be armed response officers boarded the 8 p.m. Emirates flight from London to Dubai

A Scotland Yard source confirmed an incident occurred on a Dubai-bound plane, believed to be an Emirates jet.
A spokesman for the Met said: “We are aware of a security incident at Heathrow. The airport and terminal remains open.”...
