SYDNEY (AFP) – A high-tech protest boat sank without trace on Friday after a dangerous collision with a Japanese whaling ship, as Australia protested to Tokyo over its fleet's alleged tactics.
Peter Hammarstedt, first officer of the Sea Shepherd group's "Bob Barker" ship, said the celebrated "Ady Gil" was abandoned overnight after a tow line snapped en route to an Antarctic research base.

Great news, thanks for posting. “Whale Wars” has been one of my favorite shows recently. It was very enjoyable watching the enviro-commies make all sorts of boasts about their capabilities and intentions, then watch them abjectly fail.
I laughed my butt off watching their horrified reaction to a whale harvetsing right before their very eyes. The South Park episode on the Sea Shepard’s failures was spot on, ha ha ha.
I watched the video yesterday and it clearly shows these pirates attempting to ram the Japanese Ship. Bob Barker was just on Fox News admitting to financing these pirates. Why hasn’t he been arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Piracy on the High Seas?? Japan should put everyone involved on trial for PIRACY.

It looks like the Ady tried to drag some prop-fouling item into the path of the Jap ship, and then stopped, blocking the ship's path from being able to avoid the device.
I didn’t know Ady Gil was a person - I guess I should get out more.
In June or July of 86 I was arrested by one of Houston's finest for assailt.
What did I do to get arrested for assault?
I threw two ignorant left wing wackos off the railroad tracks to keep a train from running over them.
The train was less than 50yds away and they honestly thought it was going to stop for them.
After about 10min in cuffs, Houston’s finest saw the error of their ways and released me with an apology.
Before you get the idea I'm some kind hearted soul, I'm not. I didn't care if they got run over. Stupid needs to be weeded out.
I was on one side of the tracks and needed to get to the other side and I didn't want to sit around in the sun waiting for them to pick up the pieces.
You must not have looked very carefully at the videos. You can see in at least two of them that the wake behind the BatBoat increased substantially 10 to 15 seconds before the collision. They gunned the engine to either ram the Japanese boat or to cut in front of it (expecting it to veer away — a common tactic of the protesters). It didn’t work this time.
So why don’t you peddle your misinformation elsewhere.
Lucky they lived to blame the Japanese for being aggressive and ramming them for no good reason.
Any merit they might have to stop the whaling is lost on their pirate mentality, stupidity and incompetence.
