An Ohio man who became loud and disruptive aboard a flight from Miami to Detroit -- at one point shouting ``kill all the Jews'' -- was removed from the airplane and taken into custody by Miami-Dade police.
The man arrested was identified as Mansor Mohammad Asad, 43. Police say he caused a ``disturbance,'' forcing the pilot to decide to return to the jet-bridge.
When Asad was taken off the plane to be interviewed by police, he threatened officers, made racial comments and charged an officer, authorities said.
Asad was charged with threats against a public servant, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence to his person.
The action taken by officials on the Delta Airlines flight comes at a time of heightened security at U.S. airports following the foiled attempt by a Nigerian to blow up an airplane on Christmas Day.
FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela said the bureau was notified and concluded it was a local police matter.
On Wednesday, the crew aboard the flight scheduled to leave at 5:45 p.m. from Miami International Airport decided to return the flight to its gate, where police took four passengers into custody, according to Homeland Security spokeswoman Sari Koshetz.
She said four passengers were taken off a plane from Miami to Detroit after making ``inappropriate remarks and acting disruptively.''
Police did not release any information about the other passengers.
After the passengers were removed, those onboard were rescreened and the flight was cleared for departure.
According to Miami-Dade police, here's what happened:
The plane was taxiing when the captain decided to return to the jet-bridge.
Passengers on the plane told police Asad was ``loud and disruptive, using anti-Semitic references such as, `I'm Palestinian and I want kill all the Jews,' '' Miami-Dade police Detective Javier Baez said in a statement.
Asad was speaking in a foreign language, thought to be Arabic.
He was taken off the plane and searched, police said. While they tried to search him, he berated officers and made racist comments.
According to the arrest affidavit, Asad said: `` `I'm not afraid of you cops. I've gotten in fights with cops in Ohio and broke their arms in three places. I've broken skulls too.' ''
He then prayed and chanted, before telling a cop to ``Go back to Africa, you white racist cop!''
Asad was searched, but officers did not find any weapons or explosives.
During the search, his socks and shoes were removed. An officer took off Asad's right handcuff so he could put them back on.
When the officer did that, Asad once again started yelling at the officers.
He ``stood up and rolled his sleeves up. He then clenched his fists and charged,'' toward an officer, the report said.
He wouldn't stop and an officer used a Taser on him. Asad fell to the ground, but did not listen to officers' commands and then tried to stand up. A Taser was used a second time.
He was then handcuffed and taken to the jail.

A South Toledo man was arrested yesterday on an outstanding firearms charge after police found him hiding in the woods behind his house.
Mansor Asad , 38, of 816 Southbriar Rd., was booked into the Lucas County jail on a misdemeanor firearms charge.
He was released from the jail after posting a $50 bond four hours after police went to his house about 7:15 a.m. on a report of a man who was acting strange and lying in the front yard with a camouflage outfit.
Officers saw him walking in the yard with a long pole in his hand. He walked away after making contact with police several houses away.
Officers looked inside his residence to find him, but only found two pit bull dogs. They contacted the Lucas County dog warden’s office.
An officer observed the man in the woods behind the house.
He told police he had several weapons inside his residence. Police found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, a handgun, and ammunition and $855 in a bag in the man’s car, which they searched after he said he might have stored a gun there. No weapon was found.
The firearms charge stemmed from an unrelated incident Saturday in which the suspect is accused of shooting a shotgun and firing at a parked car and a street light in front of his house, according to court records.

MIAMI - A Toledo man was taken off a Detroit-bound jet and arrested Wednesday night after making racially threatening comments and taking a “combative posture” toward city police who responded to Miami International Airport, authorities said.
Mansor Mohammad Asad, 43, of 1216 North Ontario St., was charged with disorderly conduct, threats against a public servant, and resisting arrest without violence following his arrest at a gate to which the Northwest Airlines flight 2485 returned after taxiing onto the airfield.
No terroristic activity was alleged, and a Miami FBI spokesman said the federal agency, after participating in the initial investigation, said the incident “was a local matter.”

Several witnesses police interviewed said the man also spoke in a foreign language, believed to be Arabic.
Mike Asad, the suspect’s brother, said Thursday morning that he was shocked to learn about the disturbance in Miami.
He said he was unsure was set his brother off in Miami. He said his brother has a history of behavioral problems and has been in and out of hospitals since he was 14.

Asad has convictions for felony and misdemeanor offenses in Toledo and Lucas County courts.
He was arrested in October, 2008, after police responded to a complaint about Asad’s “pit bull” dogs allegedly charging residents in a Toledo neighborhood.
According to court documents, police said Asad reportedly yelled to his daughter: “The cops are our enemies and they’re going to kill you and the dogs” when officers arrived.
He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstructing official business.
A plea agreement reached in the case resulted in Asad pleading no contest to obstructing official business in Toledo Municipal Court. He was found guilty and fined $150.
Asad was indicted in 1999 on two counts of felony assault on a police officer. He initially pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the offenses.
He changed his plea to no contest in Lucas County Common Pleas Court and was sentenced to probation in 2000.
