Sen. Lindsey Graham is ready to be the 60th Senate vote to get the climate change and energy bill passed, he told a Midlands audience Tuesday at Harbison State Forest.
“Since they’ve got no Republicans but me, business is open,” Graham said.
Graham has been criticized by his own party for pursuing bipartisan resolutions on such issues as illegal immigration and possible filibusters of judicial nominees. And he believes that the cap-and-trade bills being debated this year are another occasion to do so, he told the audience at a forestry conference hosted by the S.C. Wildlife Federation.
He said he has worked with Democrats, including Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., to craft a bill he can support.

Glen Beck yesterday was showing that with all the US mandates on domestic jobs China can easily produce green products cheaper than us and would steal those jobs too.

It’s “global warming”, not climate change they’re trying to fix. We need to keep reminding people, because we have been in a cooling trend for the last 8 years. They need to answer the question, “why is this happening if carbon emissions are at an all-time high?”. Calling it “global warming” is important because there will always be “climate change”. Let’s make them defend warming, because it’s pretty easy to convince people these days that the earth’s has “naturally” turned the corner and its getting cooler.
What a moron! “Global warming” is being discredited - perfect time for him to jump on the bandwagon. This legislation is going to cost all Americans - for no benefit. We need Senators who will actually look out for Americans’ interests, instead of playing political games.

South Carolina needs to stop this blowhard. Blow up his phone line. There are so many bad bills out there, I can’t even keep up with what might slip through at midnight. We need to quarantine congress.
