PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Federal authorities say a disruptive passenger has been released without charges after military jets escorted a jetliner back to Portland. The FBI says there is no known link to terrorists.

Military officials say the jets were sent up Wednesday as a precaution.

The action comes amid heightened concern about airline security and the charge that a Nigerian man tried to blow up a jetliner bound for Detroit on Christmas Day.

The FBI says it questioned a 56-year-old man from Salem, Ore., and turned the matter over to federal prosecutors.

A spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration says the passenger made threatening remarks and refused to stow his carry-on luggage. The flight was bound for Hawaii.

Probably Al Skanken.

Beck was behind him in line going through the security screening at an airport and, when Skanken was told he would have to miss his flight because of his position in the line, Skanken said...

It’s a good question. I’m glad someone finally posted a thread about this, thank you!

According to other news sources, besides refusing to store his duffel bag, the man passed a note to a flight attendant to give to the Captain. The Captain said the note contained disturbing threats. The name of the man hasn’t been released (making me wonder about ROP connections). For the life of me, I can’t figure out HOW a person could board an airline, do these things, prompting NORAD to send two F-15 fighter jets to escort the plane back to Portland airport, and that man is walking around free as I type this. Something about this sure doesn’t make sense.

He was probably an Interpol officer. Thanks to Obama they’re now above the law.

I still think we need some minimal security flights. No screening, no scanning, and no profiling. Flight crews will be heavily armed and personal weapons are allowed as carry on luggage.

I suspect that would actually be quite popular.

Y’all know he’s a Muzzie. Why else would they send up two fighter jets as escorts? Why else would they keep his identity secret?

Move along there! Nothing to see here!

Let’s see...

Disruption
Refusal to follow flight crew request
Threatening note to Captain
Fighter jet escorts
Return to Portland

then

Walks Free!

Must have been a crack courier for nobama and his minions.
