In an interview on Fox News Channel’s Studio B on Wednesday, New York Congressman Peter King criticized President Obama for his “race to close Guantanamo,” prompting host Shepard Smith to parrot left-wing talking points on the subject: “[Obama] said that gave us a black eye around the world and studies seem to suggest that’s exactly what it did.”
King went on to staunchly defend the military prison: “I think we should not be giving in just because the terrorists say that Gitmo is a recruiting agent. So is our support of Israel. Does that mean we shouldn’t support Israel?” Smith skeptically replied: “You’re not equating the two, are you Congressman?” He then wondered: “Why is this political football being thrown around so much in the middle of all this?”

Shep Smith showed his true colors when he covered Katrina. He really belongs on CNN where no one will have to listen to him whine.

Shep is often dumber than a rock. Support of Israel is a more potent recruiter to jihadis than Gitmo. The greatest recruiter to al Qaeda was the falling of the twin towers into a column of dust. The fact that ZerO says Gitmo is a recruiter for man caused disaster specialists (terrorist to the rest of us) does not make it a fact.
Shep is the only Fox News program I don’t ever watch. I change the channel to “Attack of the Show.”
Newsweak lied when they wrote of korans being flushed down the toilet.
That too encouraged terrorist propaganda.

Do terrorists say that? I never heard that. I heard liberals believing terrorists believe that, but that’s liberals. To terrorists it is just a prison, a risk of the game.
Will terrorists say “I quit because Obama moved my friends from Cuba to Illinois?”

Somehow I don’t picture the Islamic jihadists saying “We shouldn’t awaken the sleeping giant by destroying a financial center and killing thousands of civilians, because we will only encourage the war ‘against Islam’”.
We are afraid to use such images of atrocity as a recruiting agent in America.

Last weekend my father threw a shoe at the TV when Julie Banderas went on a rant about how we shouldn’t racially profile people in line at the airport. She was very rabid.
Shep’s brain has been softened by the repeated trains that have been pulled on him.
Gitmo is bad and Abu Ghraib a big deal only because the agenda driven MSM made them so. In reality, Gitmo is an extremely humane and effective means of neutralizing terrorists-any place else in the world, those detainees would’ve gotten a bullet in the brain pan. And anyone who thinks Abu Ghraib was a big deal has never read about Japanese, North Korean or North Vietnamese POW camps. Or Andersonville, for that matter.

If he would make a move to CNN where he belongs he would raise the average IQ of both networks.
