14 terror suspects mistakenly kill themselves

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Fourteen suspected terrorists died Tuesday night when the bus they rigged with explosives blew up prematurely, police said.

The explosion occurred as the suspects were riding the bus in the province of Kunduz, said police chief Abdul Raziq Yaqobi.

Nope...innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. So, they're "suspected terrorists" until they're convicted. Even then you'll have to wait for the appeals process to run its course before they'll officially be full-fledged "known terrorists".

Actually, that's a good idea. Pay a robo caller to call every number in an Afghan area code 24-7. Let it ring 3 times and go to the next number, over and over. I bet half of Afghanistan would have craters in it in a week.

I don't really care if Abdul has to get up at 3am to answer a phone with no one there, I have to, why not him? Besides, he will most likely be awakened later with an explosion down the street.

If we were to add up all of the US and allied lives lost since 9/10/2001, and then add up all of the lives lost among the terrorists (including Muslim-on-Muslim terrorism), what do you suppose the ratio would be?

I guesstimate 100:1.

Please understand that I appreciate that this means in excess of 1 million bad guys dead. A fair chunk of this came through the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and the subsequent occupations, but these terrorists really are adept at killing one another in the Middle East, the horn of Africa, and elsewhere. Being able to count on this self-defeating terrorism truly helps the US in the WOT.

Our losses are huge. Theirs are mammoth and yet generally overlooked.
