Good luck convincing him of that. : )
That must be why they keep electing commies to the House and Senate over and over.
That guy had to be one of the sleaziest villains in all of villain-dom.
Fire in the belly conservatism is what’s needed across the board. A squishy moderate Republican causes more problems than a squishy moderate Dem.
I noticed that Congressman Dan Boren is not running for re-election in OK. Hope a conservative Republican takes that seat too.
Will they elect a Republican?
Probably. There are no real second string Dems on the bench. Nearly all statewide offices are held by Republicans.
****
Doubt it, the Farmer’s and Ranchers love their liberal handouts, and ND is huge Ag state.
“...and have an invitation from a publisher to write two more books.”
Hey, Byron - I’ve got a suggestion: write your books under the pseudonym ‘S. Palin’ - that way somebody other than Soros and the unions might buy ‘em - hell, that way somebody might even try to read them.
“....it also means that Dorgan will vote for the healthcare atrocity...”
____________________________________________________________
Dorgan has just admitted that he is a “Kamikaze Democrat”. He will vote for this thing, regardless of what North Dakotans want, then retire with his kickbacks. A great civil servant/Sarc.
Pomeroy is not the strongest candidate the Dems had, Dorgan was, and polls showed Dorgan down by 20 points to Hoeven.
You may be on to something...they know they will get crushed in the election..so they get bribes to make the vote..and then not run.
I think the guy who made this video must be a professional. It really is like a movie trailer..even the ending is like one

I’m well aware that if Pomeroy runs for the Senate we pick up his House seat, and that Pomeroy wouldn’t stand a chance against Hoeven. But Pomeroy may run for the Senate in the hopes that Hoeven won’t run and his odds of winning the higher-reward Senate race will be only slightly lower than his fading hopes of winning reelection to the House (where he’d be one of 435, and in the minority again next year, and have to run again in 2012).
Hey Dummies...you can run but you can’t hide.
Your braindead supporters are so desperate to charge Bush et al with something-anything.
WELL guess what you vote for this unconstitutional Republic killer and see what happens.
Is Hoeven conservative? Or do we have a better candidate for this seat?
>> I have other interests and I have other things I would like to pursue <<
“And besides, the polls show me running about 30 points behind my likely rival.”
Good! Now Dorgan can go out and get a real job for the first time in his life.
Where did you read that Boren isn’t seeking reelection in OK?
I am sick to death of the word bipartisanship.
The biggest, nastiest, vindictive PARTISANS in congress are the Dimocrats and their definition of bipartisanship is when a RINO abandons conservative principles and votes with them.
I have NEVER seen a DEM being "bipartisan".
WE CANNOT "WORK WITH" THE OTHER SIDE, WE HAVE TO DEFEAT THEM.
He won’t do it. He’s too smart for that. He knows this is admin is a giant mistake.
Not only did he and others really not have any power when O took over, he realizes that the backlash that’s coming is going to ensure that his next term would be a waste too. He’s 64 or so, which would make him 70 coming up.
As for family, the kids are in college, or just graduated, and the grands are in Minnesota. He lives in DC, so that leaves his wife.
He’ll start raking in 2-3 million a year as a lobbyist.
He’ll never set foot in North Dakota again - folks who love their state don’t live for 30+ years in Washington, DC.
My understanding is that he’s conservative, but palatable to moderates.
