WASHINGTON -- As millions converged on Washington last year to witness the inauguration of President Barack Obama, security officials were concerned that among them were extremists traveling from Somalia to set off explosives as Obama took the oath of office.

I don’t believe this story, and if they are trying to take credit for blocking a terrorist attack they must think we are really dumb, because Bush/Cheney still held the keys to the kingdom.

Nothing but White House leaked spin to take the heat off the smoking butt terorist story. This, so they can say “see, we get hundreds of reports, we can’t investigate them all, and most don’t amount to anything.” Of course, the sheeple will buy it.

Another spin they take is to always blame the “evil” agencies (CIA, FBI, etc.) while sparing the “good agencies” (TSA, Commerce, etc.).

Would it not be more proper to say that THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT failed to stop the Christmas 2009 attack. Just like it was THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that failed to stop 9-11? That would include all federal agencies, and a prudent analysis could identify all the weak areas (State department, for example, the “Gorelick Wall”, Obama’s directives, etc.).

I think after all the heat the administration is catching over the war, Hasan shooting up Ft. Hood and the would-be Christmas bomber they are trying to make up stuff to get Obama some better polling numbers. They are trying to make up some ground by saying they thwarted one.
