As a new year commences I am sure we all miss the steadying hand of George W Bush who in the wake of terrorism or natural disaster gave us a feeling of calm amid the storm, of someone in control yet a man of compassion. This was shown during late 2004 early 2005 when an earthquake and violent tsunamis struck the nations that surround the Indian Ocean.
I have in fact chosen his radio message from January 2005 as the quote of the month for the first monthly dose of 2010.
A man of conviction and compassion, not all did and do agree with what he did but most will agree what he did he did from the belief that it was the right decision and done for the love of his country and its people and not for personal gain or popularity.
I feel the stark contrast with the current occupant of the White House more so each day when I turn the TV on to see what publicity stunt the current President is involved in. Even his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan he felt necessary to qualify with a promise of reducing numbers within so many months, again reminding us of the difference in character between the current and the previous President.
I hope the following photos from January 2005 give you some happy memories of a time when things however bad seemed more manageable and achievable because the President was in control and defending America and all she stands for instead of apologising.
Happy New Year to all and God Bless America and George W Bush and what he meant to us all during 8 very special years.
MUST SEE VIDECLIP:
This past weekend, President Bush gave the ‘keynote address’ at the Sahara Club International’s annual convention.
Either before or after his ‘address’ the President decided to visit the Exhibition hall. One of the attendees captured the event — this will definitely put a smile on your face!!
PRESIDENT BUSH KISSED MY WIFE!

Thank you for linking Ed Gillespie’s AWESOME commentary . . . I just love it when the Democrats hoist themselves on a petard of their own making!!
Yes, that did put a smile on my face. Those lucky women!!! I am surprised at all the security around him. There may have been more, but I counted 7 plus the golf cart. Any idea what’s up with that?
I just watched the video again and still have a smile on my face!!
BTW: The tight security was probably required because the President was in an ‘open’ venue with people who had not been pre-screened but had plenty of access to weaponry — the was a hunter’s convention!
Just stumbled across a youtube video that just made me say WOW:
GEORGE W BUSH — THE DARK KNIGHT
[It’s too bad that Glen Beck has subsequently decided to become more aligned with the Joker than the Dark Knight!]

Thanks for the great videos!
Great video.
Thanks to everyone for your great contributions and comments. I love the blogs, articles, pictures....thank you! Sure do miss GWB and Laura....
Thank you SO much for the great videos.
And dittos to wishing Glenn Beck had kept his head on straight. He is the last person in the media that I would have expected to turn on the President. Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.
If I were a little more upscale, I'd have a backup, but, alas, I am not. :)
We love you just as you are. :)
I must be living under a rock (or perhaps it is that I really don't care for Glenn Beck all that much so I don't know what he has done in this regard...)--has he turned on GWB? Ugh. I think his success has gone to his head if that is the case.
UPDATE . . .

Awesome, thanks for posting
Are you kidding??? Did you watch him while Pres Bush was in office?? He was no supporter of the President.
I never watched him until he moved to Fox. His radio program isn’t carried here on a station I can receive.
I knew, however, he was more of a Libertarian and had had some disparaging things to say about President Bush.
He’s doing a good job of researching some things, but when he starts lumping President Bush in with Obama, I turn him off. I am increasingly becoming irritated with him, and the Scott Brown thing was despicable.
What’s really bad is when he starts in with the Bush-bashing, there is never anyone to counter it.
We don't get many new pictures these days, so I didn't think you would mind me posting this very large hi-res photo. :)
Thank you, dmd25 and I appreciate the ping! U had forgotten to come back to this thread to THANK DR.DEB for the videos that I enjoyed VERY LATE at night.
The photo is wonderful, isn’t it?
!!!!!!!!!
No...I don't mind at all....... ~~~fanning~~~
