A Month in the life of George W. Bush ( News and photos) January 2010
www,georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | 4th January 2010 | Snugs

As a new year commences I am sure we all miss the steadying hand of George W Bush who in the wake of terrorism or natural disaster gave us a feeling of calm amid the storm, of someone in control yet a man of compassion. This was shown during late 2004 early 2005 when an earthquake and violent tsunamis struck the nations that surround the Indian Ocean.

I have in fact chosen his radio message from January 2005 as the quote of the month for the first monthly dose of 2010.

A man of conviction and compassion, not all did and do agree with what he did but most will agree what he did he did from the belief that it was the right decision and done for the love of his country and its people and not for personal gain or popularity.

I feel the stark contrast with the current occupant of the White House more so each day when I turn the TV on to see what publicity stunt the current President is involved in. Even his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan he felt necessary to qualify with a promise of reducing numbers within so many months, again reminding us of the difference in character between the current and the previous President.

I hope the following photos from January 2005 give you some happy memories of a time when things however bad seemed more manageable and achievable because the President was in control and defending America and all she stands for instead of apologising.

Happy New Year to all and God Bless America and George W Bush and what he meant to us all during 8 very special years.

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY, LUV W, phancypants and I were standing with 30,000 of our closest friends in Centennial Plaza (Midland, TX) where we welcomed home our beloved President Bush and Laura . . . What a bittersweet moment for hubby and I . . . While we knew that President Bush was where he wanted to be, we also knew that he was not where we needed him to be.

Ohiowfan: Do you have any of my photos from Midland that you could post?

LuvW and phancypants: Could you post your photos from this AWESOME event?!

Thank you for this DrDeb....I remember and what a lovely sentence: "While we knew that President Bush was where he wanted to be, we also knew that he was not where we needed him to be." So true. So true.

Thank you, DrDeb! I look forward to reading all these articles.

I scanned this article and noted this sentence:

A year after he left office, it looks more and more like others will now not only start appreciating our 43rd president, they might start wishing they helped him when he had the toughest job in the world and they could only wish him ill.

I certainly hope they do.

Got some pictures for you guys. Remember when the History Channel did the special on the White House? Well, thanks to Netflix, I was able to get the screencaptures from the dvd.

Second article: I’m sick to death of the democrats blaming Bush and I’ll wager everyone but the true haters are sick of it too. After a whole year of ‘failed Obama policies’ it’s time for him to pretend he’s a grown up and take responsibility for his own damn mess, but nooooooooo, it’s impossible for the narcissist punk to do that.

Thanks for posting.

Great article from the Dallas News. Regarding the 2010 election. Have these idiots forgotten that President Bush has been out of office for over a year and them blaming him for the failures of the p o s who currently occupies the White House is getting old and lame. I wished they would put the blame to where it belongs. Their side and only their side.

Carville thinks it going to work too

BWAAHAHA. He makes a good point. That was a factor. Scott Brown had a great line and polling proved that treating terrorists like common criminals was a huge factor in the race that went against Coakley!

If they think that blaming Predsident bush is going to help them, then they better think again. The people are getting tired and bored of their Spiel

The 2nd article especially is a good one. I hear this “we inherited this large deficit” deception all the time — even from “friends”. Enough already.
