CHATTOOGA COUNTY, Ga. - A Georgia couple is out of jail on bond after being arrested for tattooing six of their children.
Investigators say they put their children in danger, but they say they did nothing wrong.

BS. Ears being pearced can grow back in, no problem. Being circumcised is a health issue. I have known 2 different guys who weren’t and had to be as adults for health reasons. Putting a tattoo on a kid is just dispicable and definitely should be punishable by the law.

It’s up to The State (I capitalized it for its omenous effect) to prove it was abuse.
Sounds to me like a couple of damned strange parents. I would be surprised if the police hadn't visited them before.
This is a tough one because it could be argued that individual rights protected by the Constitution guarantee that another can't subvert your rights (in other words, the children's rights). It could be argued tt is similar to the case of the liberal hippie parents who were radical vegans who almost killed their kids from malnutrition by trying to enforce their own health choices on their kids.
This is just tacky.
This will require jury nullification by a local informed jury, if they see fit.

A girl is not going to be harmed for life because she has pierced ears. On the other hand, tattoos on your hand can cause a problem for people.
And how would you like your young child coming back from a visit with your ex with a homemade tattoo on their hand? You’d flip. At least you should. The cops were called by the child’s mother. This was done without permission.
Besides, the woman who did it sounds clueless. She tattooed them with a broken guitar string and motor, yet she thinks it will fade away and claims she didn’t break the skin? I stuck myself with a pencil once as a child, I still have the mark.
And there is a reason people who do this have rules to use gloves and change needles. Anything one of these kids may have, the others may now have too.
Let’s also go after the parents who pierce their child’s ears
If kids want to go out and get tattoos when they turn 18, I say let them. I’m not in favor of it. I’d try to talk them out of it, but in the end it’s their life.
Adults should not be tattooing their children at an early age. It’s something that will remain with them throughout their life. Young kids shouldn’t be making those types of decisions, and adults shouldn’t be making them for them.
I saw video of the tattoos. They weren’t small and cute. They were large and gaudy.
These parents are exhibiting very poor judgment IMO.

aside from my opinion on tattooing minors, i think the biggest crime here is that the guy’s artisty SUCKS.
But we all lose a great deal when we submit and say that the government cab determine how we should raise our children. This is government encroachment and even if you think the parents are idiots, any good Conservative should demand that government back off.

Not adopted or fostered - two divorced peopl blending kids. Mom for a couple picked them up at dad’s house and they had been tattooed. Dad did it without the mom’s permission.

No. The last two photos are the mother, not the bio mom.
And I think this could be defamation of character—nothing has been proven, yet their names and pictures (how many mug shots, aside from Rush and Tom smiling, are GOOD pics of people in distress?)
are being spread all over the WORLD through the internet.
Personally, no, I wouldn’t tattoo my kids, BUT that being said, there ARE many cultures around the world who do! Are they all ‘child abusers’ as well?
