We are here at my brother, Lee's, place in Denton, Texas waiting to hear back from MD Anderson on the specific date for my 1st appointment with them. Hopefully tomorrow, but by Wednesday. Tumor is obvious to me when I sit or lay down...and the pain is there alright...but the percoset helps when absolutely necessary...though I do not like taking it.
Long drive...but driving helped take my mond off of the pain, and Gail read me one of the Jane Austin, "Pride and Prejudice" offshoot novels, one about the entitre story from Darvy's perspective. it helped a lot too and was an interesting stroy. My wife, Gail, is an angel for the which I am most grateful in my life next to my witness of Jesus Christ.
Thanks to everyone for your faith and prayers, and for your responses on this thread. It is humbling and I will try and respond to every single one as I can. Words cannot adequately express my gratitude, or that of my family. Faith and sincere prayer has great, and real power. Power to the revealing of God's ill in our life...whatever that will may be.
I have faith in God in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. I know that they know me personally and have planned a life that is best for me, my loved ones, and those I come in contatc with...indeed, for all people. It is ours to come to know them, to accept the gift of the atonement of our Savior which opens the door back to God, and to thus come to know their will for us in this life.
And then, coming to know that will, to accept it, to make it our own, and then be a strong witness for them to all around us.
I am committed to being a good witness of God's will in my life, whatever it may be, to those aorund me, my wife, my children, my grandchildren, my brothers, family, relatives, friends and neighbors.

Thanks for the updates. Jeff, you might need to check your security settings at your FB site as people can't see it (well, maybe that is how you want it semi protected).. but for the blog you might check the settings for everybody. FB has changed so many of the protocols recently that I too need to follow my own advice.
Several local people have FR mailed me with offers to help etc. I will forward those to you.

Ah Jeff, you are one of my favorite FReepers. My heart is saddened at what you are enduring, and yet I know that in our trials, our Savior is even closer to us than He is during our triumphs. May you feel His very breath upon your face as you walk through this valley with Him, and may you enjoy watching the beautiful plan for healing that He will unfold for you.
Holy God,
We know that Jeff is very dear to Your heart. We know and believe that our Savior, Jesus Christ, has already paid the price for this disease upon the Cross of Calvary, and that “by His stripes,” Jeff has been healed. Precious Lord, restore this wonderful servant of Yours unto complete health and may he continue his life in devoted service to You. Give him the patience and endurance he needs to prevail and may his faith grow and strengthen. Bring good to him in the midst of this trial, as only You are able. We pray all this in the Name of our Great Physician, Jesus Christ. Amen.
