excerpt: Barack Obama was accused of double standards yesterday in his treatment of the CIA.
The President paid tribute to secret agents after seven of them were killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan. In a statement, he said the CIA had been ‘tested as never before’ and that agents had ‘served on the front lines in directly confronting the dangers of the 21st century’.
He lauded the victims as ‘part of a long line of patriots who have made great sacrifices for their fellow citizens and for our way of life’.
Yet the previous day he had blasted ‘systemic failures’ in the CIA and other US intelligence agencies for failing to prevent the Christmas Day syringe bomb attack.
‘One day the President is pointing the finger and blaming the intelligence services, saying there is a systemic failure,’ said one agency official. ‘Now we are heroes. The fact is that we are doing everything humanly possible to stay on top of the security situation. The deaths of our operatives shows just how involved we are on the ground.'

Thanks for the sad ping...I have said since the election that 0bizmal has done a good thing by waking me and hundreds of thousands of sleeping people up, but to think bringing physical and emotional terroristic harm is a positive in the same light is simply insane.

The first time I encountered “Star Traveler” was a few years ago, and I thought at the time the person was a candidate for some Psychological assistance. I remember that thought about the person, but not what the post was about that led me to reason so.
A month or two ago I again encountered the person known as “Star Traveler”, and again I was impressed the person was quite self involved.

A mercenary is someone who for the right price will fight for any country, without regard to his own country's interests, even against his own country's interests if the money is good, because they are loyal to no one but themselves.
That certainly does not describe the individuals who work for Blackwater, whatever name it goes by. Do they get paid? Certainly. But so do all our military personnel, and we don't refer to them as mercenaries. Just because they work for a firm as specialized as Blackwater does not imply a willingness to work against the interests of their fellow citizens or against US interests. The employees are military personnel who have sworn an oath to defend the constitution when they signed up for the military, and they don't forget it just because they retire after putting in their twenty and go private. The area where they differ from military personnel is that contractors suffer no fools- the military must endure every idiot the politicians put in charge, for as long as the politicians want to keep them in command.

Although I hate it, I agree with you. I hope that the Islamic terrorsits have a hay day while Obama is in office until America rises up says ENOUGH!! America, however, is going to have to be prepared to DO SOMETHING against this tyranny. They won’t ever leave on their own accord. Their drug is power. Pure and simple. Since, as they said, “they have ‘SIEZED POWER’” whaddya think it will take to remove them? I know what it is - FORCE!! The PEOPLE will have to remove this cabal physically. And they must do it soon, or it will be too late. He has been amassing a “personal and very heavily armed force” since he took the reins”. He is weakening the military every day and he plans to DIS-arm America via the back door through the UN. Act now or don’t complain. CO
