The only non-white President Cuba ever had was Fulgencio Batista, who had Afican and Chinese ancestry. Fidel Castro's father was a red haired immigrant from Galicia in northern Spain. His mom was born in Cuba to immigrants from Spain as well.

In Cuba (now 60-70% black and mulatto, as the whites left for Miami and Spain a long time ago), the Communist elite is almost lily-white.
