Britain is bracing itself for one of the coldest winters for a century with temperatures hitting minus 16 degrees Celsius, forecasters have warned.
They predicted no let up in the freezing snap until at least mid-January, with snow, ice and severe frosts dominating.
And the likelihood is that the second half of the month will be even colder.

Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory is very robust with respect to data. All observations confirm it at the 100% confidence level.
It’s amusing— if it weren’t so sad. One of the talking heads on The Weather Channel this morning did a blurb on how we could be experiencing global warming and record low temperatures (some 150 yrs. old) at the same time. I tuned him out. Now I wish I’d listened— just for laughs.
Also read that NASA has detected the heliosphere has "degraded" 25% in the last ten years.
My point is, there are SOOOO many variables to our environment and a good chunk is outside reach of what we mere mortals can do about it anyway.
Hoping others can weigh in on the cosmic aspect as it relates to our long term weather.

Here in North Texas, we've experienced the first white Christmas in over 75 years. In fact, we've had 3 measurable snowfalls BEFORE year end - I can't remember when that's ever happened before in my lifetime.
I have a continuous line of icicles on the roof, some up to 4 feet long and growing. They grew within the last 2 days. Snow, snow, and more snow here in New Hampshire.
Maybe some of those lying limey “scientists” who faked the “golbal warming” data will get a taste of real climate change.
Do you go by centigrade in Canada? I wonder how many degrees that is fahrenheit?

Somebody contact the IPCC. They need to use a little of that “fudge factor” “trick” in order to “hide the decline” in global temps.

You are obviously a denier. Your reckless acertion is unscientific because there is absolutely NO proof that raw data was faked. It has all been destroyed to make room for the "value-added" data.

That is Centigrade; 14F in real degrees. Our plow and sander drivers would have been willing to kill last week to have such balmy working conditions.
We've been hovering in single digits at night, both above and below; and staying below freezing during the day. A
Across the state at Sioux Falls last night, it was supposed to be -25F...that's -31C, but the sanders still sand!
