Mitt Romney - that rare political breed, a Republican elected statewide in Massachusetts - told supporters yesterday that if Scott Brown can pull off a similar feat next month in the US Senate special election, it “would shock the country and send a strong message that business as usual in Washington is coming to an end.’’
“He would bring badly-needed fiscal restraint to an out-of-control budget process that is adding trillions of dollars to our national debt,’’ said Romney, the former Bay State governor who gives every indication he’s preparing a second presidential bid in 2012.

I just don't care for her for a large number of reasons. For example, she raised the price of oil for everyone in America for the benefit of Alaska's socialist economy, spreading the oil wealth around her constituents at the expense of Americans.
I also don't find her intelligent or intellectual and seek a candidate who is capable of writing their own book rather than farming it out (and Mitt FAILS at this too, as his book was ghostwritten as well).
I've also had personal dealings with her and her operation and, well, I can't disclose but that is why I am looking elsewhere in 2012.
We are trolls committed to ending Conservatism.

Mitt Romney wasn't the worst governor Massachusetts ever had. In fact, he may have been the best and most conservative the state could have had at the time. It's that kind of state. Mitt couldn't bring the legislature to heel, but the statehouse gang has run rings around just about every governor the state has had.
He's not going to be elected in 2008, so we could tone things down a bit. But it sounds like you really need having Mitt to kick around.
Proven bad governor Romney actually TANKED Massachusetts.
Mitt Romney got a "C" rating from CATO.
And that was BEFORE Romney's failure re: Socialized medicine.

Seriously, if you are going to push Mitt Romney, then you have to start saying something, I have never seen this bizarre approach that you are depending on, of merely posting the name of a republican senator as a meaningful pitch for your presidential choice.
Yeah, I read, and commented to D about that, which is below the belt, and I feel, reflexively anti-Mormon, if not out right bigotry. I was commenting on his links and information posts, which I think are fair and accurate, and I support as much information of every candidate as possible and encourage everyone to research and share as they will, as much as possible
As you well know, I think Mitt has real, common enough ideological/political problems.
At a deeper level I do feel that there is some effect of his heritage as a Mormon, which I feel is fair ground, but should be handled much as JFK’s Catholicism was. Further, there is a sort of ‘heads you lose, tails I win’ trap for Mormons expressed often on FR, and society in general. I feel and think that is unfair, wrong, and has little place in a multi-religious nation that should respect private lives and honor good spirited public participation.
I don’t feel Mitt is bad man. I think he is a reasonable a good man, a fine father and a good citizen and a good representative for Mormonism.
If he should win the nomination, I will support him.
Mitt was the fourth republican governor in a row, and he left the office with 34% approval and in democrat hands, after deciding to abandon hopes of reelection for himself.
I wish Mitt had run for reelection. But his low opinion rating on leaving office was more a result of his not running and of his "bad-mouthing" the state on the presidential campaign trail (as people saw it) than the cause of his not running.
Romney was limited in what he could do by Democratic control of the legislature. I'm not saying he was a perfect governor or that he should be president. But I think people who habitually run him down don't understand how things are in Massachusetts.

Romney told the U.S. Senate on June 22, 2004, that the "real threat to the States is not the
constitutional amendment process, in which the states participate,
but activist judges who disregard the law and redefine marriage . . ."
Romney sounds tough but yet he had no qualms advancing the legal career of one
of the leading anti-marriage attorneys. He nominated Stephen Abany to a District Court.
Abany has been a key player in the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association which,
in its own words, is "dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision
on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated."

Despite his rhetoric about judicial activism, Romney announced that
he won't fill all the remaining vacancies during his term - but instead
leave them for his liberal Democrat successor!

judicial appointments in the final days of his administration . . . David Yas,
editor of Lawyers Weekly, said Romney is "bucking tradition" by resisting the urge to
fill all remaining judgeships. "It is a tradition for governors to use that power to appoint judges

He added that Romney has been criticized for failing to make judicial appointments.

illegal aliens everywhere, gay marriage, and increases
taxes disguised as fees, as
carpetbagger, and perennial backstabber, Romney
ruined the Mass. economy.
That isn't true, Mitt wanted to run for reelection but his polls showed that it was not an option for him, Mitt only chose republicans for 25% of his judicial appointments, and of course, Mitt Romney was the most passionate and convincing spokesman for abortion of all the governors.
At the end of the day, Romney FLED the Belmont
sanctuary and Massachusetts for La Jolla.
Romney is a user. That is why Romney allowed, nay
encouraged Team Romney to continue, the attacks on
Gov. Palin (and her helpless children).
