While Democrat Martha Coakley has raked in more than five times GOP rival Scott Browns donations, the underdog state senators fund raising is picking up steam in the final weeks of the race for U.S. Senate.
Coakley, the states attorney general, yesterday announced shed raised $1 million in the last six weeks for a total of $5.2 million since her campaign began.
Browns campaign has received $700,000 in the past six weeks - considerably higher than previous totals - putting his war chest just over the $1 million mark.
There has been an explosion of interest in Scott Browns campaign and a lot of his fund-raising energy is coming from online donations, said senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom, who added that most of Browns money has come from small donations.

Shut ObamaCare down, Elect Scott Brown!!!!
Nah...she's much worse than that.
Outstanding parody, but the election is on the 19th of January twenty ten (not twenty oh nine).
D’oh!
I was trying so hard to do the Christian thing and not speak ill of her.
Too bad she has worked so hard at her hack-ness.
:)

OOOPs....Somebody goofed......but the rest of it is clever@
dj, specter has been exposed what he is ... a democRAT.
My hats off to all the GOP senators (RINO’s included) who stood together in voting against the HCR bill.
If he is elected he will be called RINO by many for being a more moderate-conservative but I’ve seen nothing at all to indicate he’s scum like the Maine twins. He appears to be ok. He may be the most conservative remember of the MA Legislature.
Paul Revere pardoy? Neat.
Yep. I’ll take a JFK Republican from MA for sure.
I’m of the mind that JFK’s virtues are exaggerated by Republicans that evoke him.
But it’s a probably a good campaign strategy. It may work too well, many freepers are convinced JFK would be a Republican today.
I’m sure it ticks off the liberals.
Agreed.
I didn’t write it....but I thought it was very clever!
This has become a ‘national race’ now and Scott Brown needs help from all over the USA to defeat the ‘Kennedy Machine’.....and it can be done....look at NJ & VA!
This is the right time for a Republican Senator from MA!
Please continue to spread the word to ‘Elect Scott Brown to shut Obama Health Care down!’
Specter’s switch back to the rodents is the only honest thing he ever did in the Senate. But still changes nothing of what I said. RINOs are a cancer to the Conservative agenda. Electing more of them will do nothing but advance the liberal agenda. That’s proven EVERY time.
I do not mean to give the impression I want only Rino’s elected. All I am saying is I will take one more Rino in senate over any one of those democrats, if Rino is all we can get. As Clintonfatigue said in his post, there are constituencies where a moderate Repub has a better chance getting elected, and you will not see me attacking those individuals.
Well, you’ve never demonstrated a burning disinclination towards electing liberal RINOs, either (your strident support for Slick Willard giving evidence of that). You also confuse “moderate” for “liberal.” Running ACTUAL moderates in liberal constituencies who support our agenda better than 50% of the time is one thing, quite another when you’re favoring the election of people who oppose the Conservative agenda 75-90% of the time. President Reagan’s advise to those liberals was that it’s best they go their own way. It’s counterproductive and counterintuitive to elect liberal RINOs if you’re a Conservative. Indeed, far better to aggressively work to elect actual Conservatives in districts/states we know they can win.
I will take someone like Romney any time of the day over the transformational socialist Obama. But people like you prefer to attack GOP candidates who are not “pure” in your eyes and that ends up with the likes of Obama. I am sorry but that is so stupid.
And that is your main problem right there, Ajay. The fact that you don't recognize that it is a problem is why you really can't be described as a Conservative. You'll support "Republican" as a label, well, anyone can call themself that, it's what they BELIEVE in as an ideology and how they conduct themselves that is the real issue. That one lady on here that goes around hammering people for not supporting "Republicans", whomever they happen to put up, I reminded her that ostensibly the most left-wing person to ever serve in Congress ran as the nominee of not only the Republican party but also the Communist Party. Until you guys understand that, you'll continue to be in the dark. Then again, my worry is that you do understand this, and why you'd merely prefer Socialism to be implemented under the less-uncouth "Republican" label, as Slick Willard offers. As for me and most other FReepers, we say let the Democrats own it, we don't want that discredited and destructive ideology saddling our party and harming legitimate Conservatives.
