Well good for you. You know what you want.
Air Canada, and JAL are good Air Lines too.But then , you get what you pay for.
I will continue to fly out of Canada internationally, where they have a profiling based security system.I personally know exactly how to prevent myself from being treated as chattel. LOL. But you can treat me as such. I likely would enjoy that! LOL.
(BTW, no stewardess or ticket agent has ever succeeded in treating me as chattel, and if necessary I just pay them 75 bucks and transfer to another airline, but thats only been once.)
The army (which here would mean the trained and heavily armed paramilitary Revolutionary Guard rather than the former regular military which still exists but has been sidelined and mostly disarmed of heavy weapons) had not arrived in Tehran streets with tanks etc. as late as yesterday.

I bet you have many other adventures tio relate. Did you meet any Yemeni women.I had a friend who was a commercial pilot who got tangled up with a Yemeni woman in the Netherlands. She led him on a merry chase over three years, promised marriage and took him for everything she could, before disappearing back into Yemen.He even met her family in Yemen where he did contract work training pilots there. They all carried rifles most of the time.

That was what my friends called me when they learned I was going there. After insisting I write a will. Virtually never saw a female. Except a bunch of young school girls with their Mullah teacher. They were suitably dressed in Moslem garb with no hair evident but faces showing.
And yes, tons of stories, some quite hair raising and life threatening.
You should write a journal so that we can know more about Yemen. Very lttle known about it.Obama is in bed with the Yemenis. We do need to know more about the country.

With all the “been there and done that”, I am looking for a publisher. Lost many of my journals in Iran - got out with two suitcases. However now have reconstituted a four inch thick folder of notes. Yemen is almost a short book in itself.
Yemen triggered one of the four times I have had a price/bounty put on my head (Soviet).

KANO — The family of a Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a US airliner as it approached Detroit on Christmas Day plans to attend his arraignment in court this week, a family source said Sunday.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the son of a wealthy Nigerian banker, who is currently being held in a federal prison in Michigan, is due for arraignment in a federal court in Detroit on Friday.
“The family has finalised all arrangements to fly to Detroit in the US to attend the trial of Umar Farouk which begins on January 8, from information available to us,” the family member who requested anonymity told AFP.
Lined up for the trip is the father, Umar Abdulmutallab, the mother Aisha and other family members, the source said by telephone from Abdulmutallab’s home state of Kaduna in northern Nigeria.
