Security alert at Heathrow per FNC
Yeah bad screening - I guess only international gets real good scans or something - but metal detector should have caught it.
Now Heathrow breaking FOX - someone taken off plane by armed guards from plane to Dubai
Federal officials arrested two associates of an Afghan immigrant who was charged last fall with conspiring to carry out bombings in the U.S., part of what authorities have called an al Qaeda cell.
Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay, both of New York City, are being held, pending charges, as part of "an ongoing investigation" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force in New York City.
The men were expected to appear before a federal judge in U.S. District Court in Brooklyn later Friday, a spokesman said. The two men have ties to Najibullah Zazi, an airport-shuttle driver from Aurora, Colo., who was arrested and indicted in September on charges of planning to make explosives from hair products and household cleaners for use in bombs in the U.S.
Anti-American sentiment grows in Pakistan
Anything that has a US imprint in Pakistan is surely in for trouble these days, or at least has been for some time.
US Navy officials in Bahrain have played down fears about a potential terrorist attack against its warships operating in the Middle East. An increasing number of jihadist threats have been posted on various websites in the last few weeks, according to a Washington-based monitoring group.
Internet posts indicate threat to Navy in Persian Gulf
Snips: One post on the jihadi forum Al-Falluja calls for information such as the name of the particular naval unit to be targeted, its exact location, the number of troops on board the warship and their ranks, familial status, where their families live, the type of weapons the warship carries and the number of nuclear bombs onboard, reads a report compiled by the Washington, D.C.-based Middle East Media Research Institute.
The postings that have come out recently are from al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which has been in the news recently, and it is from some of their leaders and some of the main people and ... head moderators, he said. [The message] definitely carries more weight.
Why Christian, Muslim clashes are different this time
The attack that killed six Christians as they left a Jan. 7 Christmas mass, and the ensuing clashes between Christian protesters and Egypt's mainly Muslim security forces, may signal a turn for the worse.
Obama's pro-terror Security Plan
Snips: Nine years later, under a new terror friendly Obama regime, we find average American citizens having to risk life and limb to thwart terror attacks on US planes, under an administration that is more concerned with anti-Obama resisters than well-known Islamic terrorists.
Treating American soldiers and Tea Party goers like enemies of the state while affording known enemies of the state common criminal benefits of the doubt, is no accident. .......
So, we are left to ponder what the real purpose of a pro-terror security plan is really all about what purpose it serves who benefits from a spineless US security policy which lets terrorists roam free while keeping a close eye on domestic resisters of the Obama regime?.....
But one thing is certain Obamas policy decisions will get more American citizens killed and when they do, Obama wont be able to blame that on the Bush administration. .....
Killing freedom and cartoonists
Snip:...... Political violence is aimed at promoting a cause in this case, special consideration for Islam. If a country cannot stop the violence directly, then the public will demand that it stop the violence indirectly, by thwarting the cause the violence serves. The rise of Geert Wilderss party in the Netherlands, the referendum to ban minarets in Switzerland, the proposed ban on burkas in France these are all desperate measures to declare that Islam is not the first religion of Europe. This is a war, the mainstream French weekly LExpress editorialised in the wake of the attempt on Mr Westergaards life. To flee this conflict would be to buy tranquillity today at an exorbitant price in blood tomorrow. It concluded: Banning every kind of full-body cover [the burka] in our public spaces is a necessity. This is not the non-sequitur it appears to be.
Kraft and CBC to bring Hockeyville to Little Mosque (on the Prairie)

Obama administration - no GITMO detainees released on our watch returned to terrorism???????
llinois GOP Senate hopeful Rep. Mark Steven Kirk on Thursday said "All the major leaders" of the Taliban opposition in Southern Afghanistan are former Guantanamo prisoners who have been released.
The Obama White House, asked to reply, made the point that the detainees released on their watch--about 42 in the past year--are not the detainees who have gone back into the terrorism business.
Sun-Times Political Writer Abdon Pallasch's report on Kirk speaking in Chicago Thursday here
Ummm, k if you say so Obama. However, why aren't you sending anymore GITMO detainees to Yemen as you did in the past?!?!?!
Good grief, another one?
Security alert on Heathrow Airport plane
breaking news
Police are attending a security alert at London’s Heathrow Airport, a spokesman has said.
A Scotland Yard source confirmed an incident occurred on a Dubai-bound plane, believed to be an Emirates jet.
A spokesman for the Met said: “We are aware of a security incident at Heathrow. The airport and terminal remains open.”
An airport spokesman said: “I can confirm there has been an incident on the EK004 flight to Dubai.”
“Police are attending. It’s not affecting the rest of the airport which remains open.”
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8449696.stm
Sky News, quoting witnesses, said a passenger had made “verbal threats” just before take off, resulting in the grounding of the plane.
Armed police with sniffer dogs had boarded the plane, due to take off around 2000 GMT (3p.m. EST), and removed one or two passengers, Sky said.
Might be a relative?
We should learn more tomorrow.
Watching Twitter.
They’re saying more than one arrest regarding the Heathrow incident.
Thanks!
Makes me wonder now if they are trying diversions - remember when they’re terror manual instructed them to create chaos whenever possible?
Someone mentioned on Fox that 0 and his intel cronies are now checking everything which is almost impossible. I think they called it channel chumming?? meaning now the bad guys will send out all kinds of info mostly diversions.
Maybe what we’re seeing in the airline threats onboard today.
One minute between us, Shep updating now
DESECRATION OF SACRED SITE PROMPTS LITTLE ATTENTION by Paul L. Williams, Ph.D.
Scripps Howard is perhaps unaware of the case pending in Canada against Paul Williams, who had the temerity to reveal potential terrorist threats from al-Qaida affiliates at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario
Looks like booze related again.
What are we to make of the failed Underwear Bomber plot, the Toothpaste, Shampoo, and Bottled Water Bomber plot, and the Shoe Bomber plot? These blundering and implausible plots to bring down an airliner seem far removed from al-Qaidas expertise in pulling off 9/11
Panel votes for Gitmo prisoner transfer the same day three convicts escape IL prison
