On December 26, two days after Nigerian Omar Abdulmutallab allegedly attempted to use underwear packed with plastic explosives to blow up the Amsterdam-to-Detroit flight he was on, and as it became clear internally that the Administration had suffered perhaps its most embarrassing failure in the area of national security, senior Obama White House aides, including chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod and new White House counsel Robert Bauer, ordered staff to begin researching similar breakdowns -- if any -- from the Bush Administration.

Oh! I see.
Sometimes it is hard to read expressions in a Font!
All is forgiven! LOL
Actually he might burned it in the air, but he did set his bomb off, it just fizzled, producing lots of flame and likely smoke too. If the Duthman, and the cabin crew, hadn't acted, the interior materials may very well have caught fire to the point where extinguishes available might not have been enough. Then you'd have a burning aircraft, possibly with pilots at least half blinded by the smoke, trying to bring it in.
You must be a musician-those were perfect lyrics!
And not too many people would even know that song now-a-daze.
Excellent, LTOS!

“You must be a musician-those were perfect lyrics!”
Why thank you! I am actually a Vocal Coach, Singer songwriter, Pianist, Guitar player, and Producer.
But primarily a BASS PLAYER. Which is, by definition, someone who likes to hang out with MUSICIANS! LOL
“And not too many people would even know that song now-a-daze.”
True, but FReepers are made of sterner stuff!
Ha Ha!
Thank you so much for your kind words! :-)
Former singer here also; thought about playing the bass.
How hard can it be? ;^)
FReepers are THE best...I am amazed here everyday at the talent.
We could be our own planet!
Happy New Year!

The bass is very easy to play...badly! Ha Ha Ha!
But to play it WELL, that’s another story!
My favorite Bass Players are James Jameson, Chuck Rainey, Donald Dunn, Jaco, and Jerry Jemmott.
You are right about FReepers. That’s why I left that other site. LOL.
the bass is like singing alto; when it’s bad-it’s horrible. and sadly, a lot of people sing alto who are too lazy to sing soprano!
classically trained w/perfect pitch, so bad notes really bug me...can ya tell??
what other site do you speak of fellow FReeper? I’ve been here since 98, so I’m out of the loop I guess!

I sent you a FReepmail! :-)
I wonder if they realize they are supposed to be running a government, not a campaign.
Hey, you got That RIGHT, my FRiend.
The Lyin’ King is STILL campaigning.
In between golf, of course.
Know that, and the fact that things will get far, far worse for the admin. Closing Gitmo and relocating terrorists to US soil, a BIG SHOW TRIAL in NYC. Releasing terrorists from Gitmo. ROE in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Reaching out to Immanutjob.
A theme is resonating with the American people and it is fatal to this admin. All they can do to stop it is to start another bloody war and carpet-bomb a city to dust.
And what should her termination paper say? “The system worked, now get your keester outta here!”
You mean they'd let Timothy McVeigh out so they could blame it on the Tea Party / Conservatives again? /sarc>
Or will Ayers finally get the green light to take out Fort Dix? /sarc>
Cheers!
