Feinstein (Liberal Democrat): Halt transfers to Yemen
The Hill ^ | 10/29/09 | Susan Crabtree

The senior Democrat on the Senate intelligence committee wants no more Guantanamo Bay detainees released to Yemen in the wake of a Christmas Day terrorist attack hatched in that country.

“Guantanamo detainees should not be released to Yemen at this time,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said in a statement. “It is too unstable.”

Feinstein’s warning comes just nine days after the Department of Justice announced the most recent transfer of 12 detainees from Guantanamo Bay to Afghanistan, Yemen and Somaliland. Six of the 12 were transferred to the government of Yemen.

Just another RAT trying to save face after they screwed up our security. CYA

Ain’t gonna work after they’ve destroyed our economy and our future. Clean their sewer come 2010 and 2012.

January 1st start the campaigns against these destroyers of freedom. Start with signs in your yards. Run against them first and find conservatives to oppose them.

Expose, expose, expose.

This program of repatriating these Jihadi’s to their home country has been a FUBAR from day one. From the Saudi’s who were rehabbed via ‘art therapy’ and now are two of the top leaders of Al Qaeda in Yemen to the recent transfer of 6 Yemeni’s by Obama, this program is lunacy.

Read the article I link here...It is titled appropriately enough ‘Al-Qaeda’s Great Escape in Yemen’

Yemen’s U.S.-sponsored fight against al-Qaeda suffered a severe blow last week with the escape of 23 convicts from a high security prison in the capital of Sana’a. Among the escapees were 13 al-Qaeda suspects imprisoned for their roles in the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole and the 2002 attack on the French oil tanker Limburg. On February 5, Interpol issued a global alert that described the fugitives as a “danger to all countries.” The prison break came only one day before the trial date of Muhammad Hamdi al-Ahdal and 14 other al-Qaeda suspects. Al-Ahdal is accused of directing the Cole bombers, but was to be tried on charges of financing terrorism. That trial has now been postponed indefinitely.

Great idea, Diane.

I’m sure there’s no way for detainees to FIND their way to Yemen...after they’ve been released from Gitmo.

The Muzzies should be transferred to Saudi where they can receive some meaningful Art Therapy Training

Actually a sound idea.

Don’t release any more to Saudi Arabia, either. Said Ali al Shihri and Muhammad al Awfi, the guys who headed Abdulmutallab’s support cell, were released from Gitmo in Nov 2007 to a Saudi “terrorist rehabilitation program.”
That program seems to be working real well - for the SAUDIS! They take them back so the terrorists can breed and train up and finance more of them.

While Feinstein is a Worm she does seem to be more on our side then the other Liberals when it comes to Defending the country.

She was the one who came out on Meet the Press and proclaimed that if the General you hired tells you that you need an additional 40k troops you should listen to him and do what he suggests.

How about just not releasing any of them anywhere! I suppose the idiot libs still think that if these terrorists are released somewhere else, say Saudi Arabia and given art therapy, that it’s simply not possible for them to find transportation to Yemen and continue to have the desire to destroy us.

The Obamunists and their minions are just completely brain dead. I wonder how many more U.S. airplanes, buildings and citizens will have to be blown to smithereens under their watch before these morons get it? Too damn many, no doubt, before they get (if ever) that we are at war against an implacable enemy that hates our guts and will do anything to destroy us. Will they ever get that every one of these terrorists is an enemy combatant to be interrogated and held indefinitely, and not just some guy to be run through our criminal courts like a domestic 7-11 robber, with the full protection of the U.S. Constitution, a battery of free, high-priced lawyers, and a circus environment show trial?

I have to say right now that I’m REALLY pissed at the obtuseness of the Obamunists, and am truly frightened for the safety of our nation and our citizens because of these dimwits at the helm.

Too late Feinstein, the liberal Supreme Court has ruled they have a right of habeas corpus.

Hey, the 1500 Gitmo detainees released to Saudi Art Therapy were released on CHENEY’S watch - Nov 2007.

So even rabid terrorism fighters once believed the Saudi promises.

No more!

Well, if I lived in California, I wouldn’t vote for Feinstein. But to give her credit, I have seen her come out on the right side of an issue more than once.

She is not in the same league as Barbara Boxer, who has never done a good thing in her life, as far as I know.

It should be crystal clear to these folks by now that Gitmo needs to remain open.

Should not be released to Yemen “at this time”....

They are at Gitmo for a reason. The libs just don’t get it and those chickens are coming home to roost. Leave them at Gitmo where they belong and cut the crap.
