HONOLULU, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- U.S. officials had intelligence the suspect in the Christmas attack on Flight 253 was planning an attack but the information was fragmented, an official said.
Speaking with reporters in Honolulu, where President Barack Obama is vacationing with his family, the official said it was not evident in the days before the attack that several items of intelligence information were connected but "it is now clear to us that there are bits and pieces of information that were in the possession of the U.S. government in advance of the Christmas Day attack … that had they been assessed and correlated could have led to a much broader picture and allowed us to disrupt the attack or certainly to know much more about the alleged attacker."

The forewarning of a Al-Qaeda attack on Flight 253 was never heeded by the terrorist philanderer Obama. Bush would have acted upon this forewarning. Same for Reagan.
Obamao showed the same level of annoyance about the terror attack as he did when caught having entertained the Salahi’s.
And while lots of us weren’t impressed with fighter jets along side various planes in American airspace, we seem to have shrugged off the lack of response to the runaway pilots who flew out of contact for over an hour.
We have an administration in so far over it’s head that NO department is functioning at even minimum level of acceptable performance.
All of his department heads are political hacks with no experience OR integrity.
CIA?
If I was a passanger on this flight I not only would be suing the living daylights out of Obama, I'd be calling directly for the impeachment of this clown and enemy within!
Possibly but I don't think so.
"Speaking with reporters" in Honolulu sounds more like it is a sanctioned "not for attribution" news release by Obama. I think he wants this information out BEFORE IT LEAKS FROM THE CIA. It is damaging to the Administration and a head or two rolling at CIA would seem to be in the works. Somebody besides Obama has to take the fall for this fiasco.
Below is my post from another thread. Regardless of FACT, they are determined to pin this on the CIA. (My comments are in [])

Father of Terror Suspect Met With CIA Official in Nigeria

Protect the Bill of Rights to HD1200
The initial meeting Nov. 19 led to a broader gathering of multiple U.S. agencies the next day, including representatives of the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the State Department and the CIA, in which the information was shared, a U.S. official said.
[Now look at this snip from CNN:]
The father of terrorism suspect Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab talked about his son’s extremist views with someone from the CIA and a report was prepared, but the report was not circulated outside the agency, a reliable source told CNN’s Jeanne Meserve on Tuesday.
Had that information been shared, the 23-year-old Nigerian who is alleged to have bungled an attempt to blow up a jetliner as it was landing in Detroit, Michigan, on Christmas Day might have been denied passage on the Northwest Airlines flight, the source said.
[I wonder who the source was that blamed it on the CIA? They are not thinking their lies through.]
The CIA or ALL of them?
Just two words
ABLE DANGER
I can assure Homeland Security that if the Branch Dividians were bombing planes - and David Koresh was hiding out and training people to bomb planes, there wouldn’t be any of this pussyfooting around about profiling “Dividians” and restricting thier movements during flight.
It would be done in a new york minute. Time to “get real”....
We need to adapt El Als security measures which were bandied about after 9-11 and promptly forgotten. They include such things as:
Profiling by religion,
Looking at recent travel history,
Checking passport and name against multiple data bases,
Multiple screenings of luggage,
Luggage not left unattended once screened,
Intense inspection of passports and boarding passes,
Sky marshals on every plane,
Double doors on all cockpits,
Pilots are allowed to armed in cockpits, and
Interviews by security officers prior to boarding.
Even at overseas airports El Al conducts security checks even if they are supervised by government or private security firms.

But an intelligence official said that the son’s name, passport number and possible connection to extremists were indeed disseminated. “I’m not aware of a magic piece of intelligence somehow withheld that would have put AbdulMutallab on the no-fly list,” the official said.

Denial all round....
Cool. TSA looks like a joke compared to El Al, the world’s most secure airline.
