The good news for Senator Ben Nelson is that he doesn’t have to face Nebraska voters until 2012.
If Governor Dave Heineman challenges Nelson for the Senate job, a new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows that Heineman would get 61% of the vote while Nelson would get just 30%.
The health care vote is clearly dragging Nelson’s numbers down. Just 17% of Nebrasaka voters approve of the deal their Senator made on Medicaid in exchange for his vote. Overall, 64% oppose the health care legislation, including 53% who are Strongly Opposed. Fifty-six percent (56%) believe that passage of the legislation will hurt the quality of care and 62% believe it will raise costs.

2012 is too late. We need to do something in 2010 (which is Friday.) Impeachment? Many states allow their Senators to be impeached. Is Nebraska one of them? It would set a positive tone for the rest of this nightmare we call Obama’s Presidency.

Is it possible, in Nebraska, to hold a recall election? The state legislature SHOULD have the power to call a sitting Senator back from Washington, since the purpose of the Senate is to represent the LEGISLATURES, and only incidentally to represent the people.
Maybe Ben Nelson DOES represent the Nebraska state legislature. If so, then some realignment needs to take place at the state level in Nebraska.

Nelson and a suicide bomber have much in common: Both will claim they are doing the “right” thing and thus are martyrs to the cause..... =.=

Go back and look at footage of Daschle’s confirmation hearings early this year. Take a real close look at how he is dressed. Then you tell ME if Nelson and Reid will be taken care of for taking one for the team.
