Eric, I know YOU know about Japan, and you will be interested to know that Jiji Press, Ltd. (equivalent to a major foreign wire service such as AP or Reuters) is running a prominent wire story today here in Japan saying (headline) essentially the terrorist attack on the Northwest flight on Christmas Day highlights the "LAX ATTITUDE THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION IS TAKING TOWARD TERRORISM."

I kid you not, this is the exact wording. I will try to get this translated in English and up as a major story on FR tomorrow. The criticism from overseas is starting to come in about Obama and Napolitano, as it should, over this situation and future AQ attacks that are more than likely just around the corner.

Wow, AIT, thanks for a reality check. It’s like Voice of America in reverse. We really do have to consult outside news sources for the truth.

I see this whole incident as a metaphor for the USA under increasing soft tyranny. Our own “ship of state,” like this aircraft, will survive because of the will and goodness of patriotic American citizens watching each others’ backs.
