I hope bambi and Sasquatch read this one.
A historic prophetic reminder of what is going to happen to the Marxists in this country.
Death to all Marxist tyrants , foreign and domestic.
“The men of the USS Pueblo had been taken captive that previous January and were hostages to Cold War politics and diplomacy.”
In propaganda photos, the men of the Pueblo were shown extending their middle fingers. They told their captors that it was the “Hawaiian good luck sign” and the North Koreans believed then until an American magazine broke the story. They were tortured for a week afterwards.
Although they had to pay the price, God bless them for finding a clever yet in-your-face way to show that the pictures were propaganda.
Gary Powers is a local resident. He recently spoke to our Rotary concerning the Cold War Museum. Quite interesting. I’m planning a trip up there in the Spring.
Too bad we did not nuke Pyongyang the second they released the crew of the USS Pueblo.
I think the link brings us to a different article.
Thank goodness you posted the correct one in its entirety for us to read!
:)
Meanwhile as ‘10 approaches, Americans anxiously await the Ceausescu moment when TOTUS realizes it is all over.
I hope the Cold War Museum acknowledges that it was a war that the US WON thanks to principles and leadership of Ronald Wilson Reagan, which is much more than our current Commander in Chief would acknowledge and recognize during the recent 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall — another milestone achievement of President Reagan. I’m sick of all this political correctness that we shouldn’t proclaim victories and we haven’t acknowledged all of the contributions of the likes of Democrats in Congress who voted for a strong defense, etc. etc. — Reagan, Thatcher, Pope John Paul II, Lech Walesa and a few others (I’ll even through in a compliment to Truman for his “doctrine” and the early years of standing up to the Soviets) — deserve almost all of the accolades. JMHO.
