A U.S. human rights activist trying to raise global attention about the suffering of the North Korean people has crossed into the reclusive state, other activists and South Korean media said on Saturday.
Park told to Reuters in Seoul earlier this week that he saw it as his duty as a Christian to make the journey and did not want the U.S. government to try to free him.
"I don't want President Obama to come and pay to get me out. But I want the North Korean people to be free," Park said on Wednesday before departing for China.
"Until the concentration camps are liberated, I do not want to come out. If I have to die with them, I will. (For) these innocent men, women and children, as Christians, we need to take the cross for them. The cross means that we sacrifice our lives for the redemption of others," he said.

That's the power of the Cross.
And when a dimwit does it, they get the steamroller. All are equally insane, imo.
“...All are equally insane, imo.”
I agree. They are all totally nuts.
Suicidal.
It wouldn't cross his mind to help.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD" Isa 55:8
I Kind of have to agree. But, if that person goes to prison and as able to tell others about the love of God, then some good will come out of it. I read a book called ‘The Eyes of the Tailless Animals’. It’s about an imprisoned N. Korean woman who later escaped from N Korea after her release. She talks about how the Christians are treated in prison. They are treated the least humane. But, everyone is treated like a ‘tailless animal’. It’s terribly disturbing.
Nothing good will come from this. He intentionally crossed into a hostle environment with no real plan. He’s a nut.
He placed himself in a bad position. He is just human fodder. Of course he wants Obama to try to get him out. He wants the publicity, without publicity his little trip is useless. If we just leave him there his great sacrifice is wasted. The N Koreans could care less.
‘Christian U.S. rights activist’
I get the notion of helping the oppressed in North Korea but whats wrong with helping the sick and poor right here in the USA???
SOME of these activists are nothing more than attention seeking liberation theology adherers.
“I am an American citizen. I am bringing God’s love. God loves you.”
During the time of the Roman persecutions some Christians deliberately went into Rome while others were fleeing (perhaps to make up for those who left?)
And then there is also the Quo Vadis story.
Who knows what this man’s motives are?
The dimwit is a suicidal narcissist with delusions of grandeur. Good riddance.
Yeah, but did they announce it in the press to make sure they got the publicity?
I was always taught that you don't brag/announce to the world your intentions if you are truly working in the Spirit of the Lord.
This is exactly what Jews think Pope Pius XII should have done to “stop the Holocaust” during WWII.
The Romans thought the same thing about the Christians who would stay behind and tend to the villages ravaged by smallpox. Of Christians that would random themselves to get brethren released out of slavery, etc.
A Christian has been bought through a terrible price. Their life is not their own. Those who act like their Spiritual walk is 1 hr of “worship” on Sundays may want to reconsider if they are truly ransomed.
How many did we have under Cheney’s watch?
He could do more good with a “free n.korea” radio station and smuggling radios into there.
Yep....and do you suppose that nothing be done to bring attention to this atrocity that is called N. Korea?
Can you compare the lives lived here in the U.S, to the living conditions of most of the Korean people? We, living here in the U.S have quality of life that is unimaginable to a N. Korean......like basic human rights for starters.
I say....go young man! I pray your message WILL be heard. I pray the Lord is with you. After all....if The Lord is with you.....who can stand against you? In Jesus’ MIGHTY name I pray it! Amen and Amen
Amen. There are some things worth dying for.
