Guess The Missing Word In NY Times Report On Attempted Plane Bombing

Imagine that there had been a series of three incidents in which members of a [invented for present purposes] fanatical Jewish sect had attempted to bring down airliners from Arab countries.
In reporting on the latest attempt and describing the previous ones, do you think the New York Times might have mentioned the religion of the perpetrators? So do I.
But with the ledgermain required to describe a spiral staircase without using one's hands, the Gray Lady has managed in its article today to report yesterday's attempt to bring down a NWA airliner, and the earlier attempts by Richard Reid [the "shoebomber'] and the those who plotted to bring down as many as ten jets leaving the UK for the United States jets, without using the word "Muslim."

You know.... I seriously couldn't figure out the word, because there were 3 possibilities:
muslim
islam
terror/terrorist
What a pathetic "profession" that modern American journalism has become.
Is there an actual rule in the NY TIMES RULE BOOK that rules out using these terms in regards to manmade human caused disaster events?
Is anyone going to make political campaign advertisements about this?? Man caused disaster?????
What perfect idiots....

Firecracker? I don't think so!
Terrorist Attempt Update: Bomb Was Incendiary, Comprised of Mixed Liquids; Obama Only Notified Three Hours After Incident More:
A Nigerian man, claiming to be linked to al-Qaeda, allegedly tried to set off an incendiary device aboard a transatlantic airplane Friday as it descended toward Detroit's airport in what the White House called an attempted act of terrorism. The man was quickly subdued after another passenger leapt on top of him, others on the plane said, and Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam landed safely around 1 p.m. Friday. The suspect was being treated at a hospital for burns he suffered while igniting the device...
The suspect[,] Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab[,] 23, attends University College London, where he studies engineering.
Although not on the TSA's "no-fly" list, Abdulmutallab's name appears to be included in the government's records of terrorism suspects, according to a preliminary review, authorities said.
Abdulmutallab has told federal investigators that he had ties to al-Qaeda and traveled to Yemen to collect the incendiary device and instructions on how to use it, according to a federal counterterrorism official briefed on the case. Authorities have yet to verify the claim, and they expect to conduct several more interviews before they determine whether he is credible, the official said.
Federal authorities have been told that Abdulmutallab allegedly had taped some material to his leg, then used a syringe to mix chemicals with the powder while on the airplane, one official said.
But doing so "caused him to catch on fire," Richelle Keepman, who sat a few rows in front of Abdulmutallab, told WDIV-TV.
...
Officials described the device as incendiary rather than explosive, pending tests by forensics experts at the FBI. Incendiary devices generally deliver less of an impact than explosive devices.

The new york times will share in the responsibility for the next attack, whenever and wherever it happens, for hiding the one common thread that ALL terrorists share.
Mass deportations.

Well, anybody could glean that truth by simply reading the man’s name.
They don’t mention whether the guy that kidnapped and killed the little girl on Christmas Day on Maryland’s Eastern Shore was a Catholic, Protestant or Baptist...or Atheist, for that matter.
Let me say, I have no problem with profiling. Start making anybody that looks Muslim drop trouser before getting on the planes. Let them scream bloody murder about it too.

“They dont mention whether the guy that kidnapped and killed the little girl on Christmas Day on Marylands Eastern Shore was a Catholic, Protestant or Baptist.”
True, but the kidnapper/murderer’s religion probably had nothing to do with his motivation, whereas the terrorist’s Muslim faith had everything to do with his.

The suspect, Abdulfarouk Muttalab who is an engineering student at the University College, London had been noted for his extreme views on religion since his secondary school days at the British International School, Lome, Togo.
At the secondary school, he was known for preaching about Islam to his school mates and he qwas popularly called ëAlfaí , a local coinage for Islamic scholar. After his secondary school, the young man, family sources said, once relocated to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates from where he declared to his family members that he did not want to have anything to do with any of them again.

Yes, but it would have been very insensitive for the Times to include that information in its article ;-)

The truly crazy thing is that Muslims are a 1,000 times more intolerant than Christians.
Homosexuals, pedophiles, abortionist, prostitutes, strippers, feminist groups and other core Democrat/liberal groups would or will be shut down and massacred under Muslim government. The self-destructive psychosis of the liberals is stunning.

Governor,
Please! The Shoe Bomber’s name is Abdul Raheem! I find it highly rude of you to use the English name “Richard Reid” when he wants to be known by his muslim name instead.
I suppose you are one of those jerks who insisted on calling NBA great Lew Alcindor “Lew Alcindor” instead of Abdul Jamar. It’s racist! sarc/ (or was it Lou?)
