A White House official said the incident was an attempted act of terrorism. The FBI is investigating and President Obama, celebrating Christmas in Hawaii, was told of the incident about three hours after the plane landed, officials said.
Obama has told White House officials that all appropriate measures be taken to increase security for air travel, a spokesman said. Nevertheless, officials said, they are not prepared to raise the terrorism alert level, currently at orange -- or the second-highest of five levels -- for domestic and international air travel.

You know, if we did that to a couple of guys who wanted to blow up planes, perhaps they’d give up the notion of blowing up planes.
Increase security on all incoming airlines.
Immediatly contact the FAA, NTSB, FBI, CIA and all groups who have a part in protecting us from terrorism as well as airline security to find out what needs to be done.
Initiate an immediate investigation into how a person who is on the Terrorist Watch List and/or No Fly List (Depending on the source) got on a plane heading to the US with exploive materials?
Contact the passengers/crew and give his thanks.

Quit acting like Obama OR ANY OTHER PRESIDENT is some hero that must be consulted to do anything at all...and without whom nothing can be done.
I trust that we have some competent and capable anti-terrorist and counter-terrorist folks who know how to take care of business without the president’s supervision.

Maybe. Don’t know if it would stop em from wanting to blow up planes... but it would bypass the national discussion about what to do with this guy in the future. How to house him, what state to drop him off in.... and whether or not he got tortured while he was questioned.

But they trashed Bush’s 9/11 response because 7 minutes into a first grade story hour he biffed his office of president. The libs can’t have it both ways. 3 hours vs 7 minutes. What happens if that plane exploded? What happens if there were 15 more planes? The media has you suckered.
