The person who saw her with him was the younger sister - the girls shared a bedroom and the sister saw her leaving with him and her toothbrush.
I didn't get the impression that the aunt gave him access to the girls.
They found the toothbrush in his car, he was arrested but refused to talk.
Prayers for the little girl and her family. Such a sad ending to this search.
I post this whenever we have a thread like this. The photo has an eerie quality to it with the noose and the ominous clouds in the background.
Sadly another illustration of the stupidity of Megan’s Law. If these offenders were in prison where they belong, this girl would have most certainly been alive today.
I was also speaking of the death of the offender, not the molested child. The molested child needs all of the support and counseling that is available.
The man in question is a serial offender. Now a little girl is dead. He deserves no less a fate. Counseling to the offender will be of no help at this point.
When someone molests a child, that child is affected for the rest of their life. To the offender, it is just a fix, a jolly, until the next one. But the child is damaged. That child grows up to be a damaged adult, who then tries and generally fails to have a stable life and children. The damage goes on and on, apart from the intervention of God.
The act of molesting a child is akin to murder, for it leaves the victim alive, but a shell of a person, that must learn to cope with a reality few can understand.
Perhaps my post was not clear. The offender needs to pay, not the molested child.

You're exactly right. If he indeed did this horrific, despicable act, he owes society his own life and it should be in the same manner he took the innocent's life.

I completely disagree - child molesters must be executed. They commit crime after crime after crime, ruining the lives and innocence of how many millions of children. I personally know quite a few people who were sexually molested as children. How many have not told me?
Until these sick demons start being executed, child molestation will continue apace. This freak killed the child and he was not afraid of any execution.
The only way I’d agree to no execution would be castration with no anasthetic (real, not the fake chemical socalled kind), head shaved, tattoos stating he is a child molester, beaten, and forced into hard labor in a horrible prison for the rest of his natural life. But that costs taxpayer money, so I opt for execution.
I know people who were molested who were raised in nice intact homes. Stranger molestation.
The further we go down what road?!? The road of punishing detestable and dangerous criminals?

Sadly, this state that I live in has elected a typical soft-on-crime Democrat who will not support the death penalty. How that damn party can get even one vote is beyond my comprehension.

With the recidivism rate what it is for sex offenders, why in God’s name do they ever get released? This is just heartbreaking, and occurs too frequently in a ‘civilized’ society.
How much did it cost to “register” this slimebag? Was it more than the 25 cents or so it would have cost to put one through his forehead? Couldn’t they find someone willing to put him down? I live in Maryland. I’d have been only too happy to execute him. “Register”—yeah, that matters.
According to an article from earlier today, the aunt KNEW he was a sex offender when she dated him. She should be strung up right next to him.
I live in MD too ... I hope that lilly-livered O'Malley reads the news and realizes that THIS is why MD SHOULD NOT abolish the death penalty - this guy was made for it.
