I was also speaking of the death of the offender, not the molested child. The molested child needs all of the support and counseling that is available.
The man in question is a serial offender. Now a little girl is dead. He deserves no less a fate. Counseling to the offender will be of no help at this point.
When someone molests a child, that child is affected for the rest of their life. To the offender, it is just a fix, a jolly, until the next one. But the child is damaged. That child grows up to be a damaged adult, who then tries and generally fails to have a stable life and children. The damage goes on and on, apart from the intervention of God.
The act of molesting a child is akin to murder, for it leaves the victim alive, but a shell of a person, that must learn to cope with a reality few can understand.
Perhaps my post was not clear. The offender needs to pay, not the molested child.
You're exactly right. If he indeed did this horrific, despicable act, he owes society his own life and it should be in the same manner he took the innocent's life.
