No cooking for me. Don’t feel like eating either. Actually I have an upset stomach. I think from some weird coffee I had this afternoon.

Well, Kathy, here I am sitting around, listening to my favorite Christnas Eve music. I just finished P.D.Q. Bach's "Consort of Christnas Carols," to include:
- "Throw the Yule Log On, Uncle John", where the joke centers around where you place the comma;
- "O Little Town of Hackensack", which speaks for itself, and;
- "Good King Kong Looked Out."
Earlier, I listened to the complete "Nutcracker" ballet by Tchaikovsky.
Closer to bedtime, I'll put on Marc-Antoine Charpentier's "Midnight Mass", in the Minkowsky recording, which places the piece, not in the Baroque, but firmly in the Renaissance, where it belongs.
Tomorrow, I'll put on the Baltimore Consort's "Bright Day Star" disc, which is a collection of English Renaissance Christmas music, followed by Christopher Hogwood's 1981 recording of Handel's "Messiah" with period instruments.
It's my little Christmas ritual.
Perhaps I'll sit down at the piano and play my favorite politically correct Christmas Winter Holiday carols, "O Come All Ye Ambivalent" and "Random Chance Rest Ye Merry Gentlepersons".
Enough joking for the evening.

A Very Merry Christmas To The Canteen,
Our Troops and Our Veterans
Mary, did you know That your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Did you know That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Mary, Did you know That your baby boy has come to make you new This child that you've delivered Will soon deliver you?
Mary, did you know That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, Did you know That your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know That your baby boy has walked where angels trod? And when you kiss your little boy Youve kissed the face of God?
Mary, did you know? The blind will see The deaf will hear And the dead will live again The lame will leap The dumb will speak The praises of the lamb
Mary, did you know That your baby boy is lord of all creation?
Mary, Did you know That your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know That your baby boy is heavens perfect lamb? This sleeping child you're holding Is the great I am?
