It's time to say goodbye. We are pleased to present the final installment of our popular segment, "Things More Fun Than Reading The Sarah Palin Memoir." We enjoyed a final montage: -driving into a tree -walking into traffic -getting decapitated -eating an eyeball from a yak carcass -microwaving your head -drinking your own urine -using a malfunctioning hand dryer -having needles thrown in your face -getting your arm ripped off by a shark -getting stabbed in the neck with pencils -getting stabbed in the eye with a carrot -exposure to high frequency sound waves -and getting crushed by a dumpster.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but...... I was watching Letterman Wednesday(12/23) night and they had what apparently was an on going bit named something like "Things More Fun Than Reading The Sarah Palin Memoir." It started with a full screen picture of Sarah Palin and was followed by 13 brief 4 sec clips of some horrific bloody scenes from grotesque/horror movies, a persons arm is cut off with a spray of blood, anothers head explodes, a chest expands then explodes, they are the kind of shots that make a person want to avert or cover their eyes. It then ends with another full screen image of Sarah Palin. [Note] there was virtually no laughter from the audience and it struck me that the way the piece was put together their was no real attempt at humor. It simply looked like someone wanted to associate in the viewers minds images of gross horror with the image of Sarah Palin. The fact that most of the clips involved sprays of blood and gore is even more troubling because they tend to evoke a more subliminal/unconscious aversion reaction. If you wanted to create an unconscious aversion to something, what better way then to flash on the screen images of that thing interspersed with horrific images. If you saw it, I think you will also be struck by the lack of any attempt at humor. If the purpose of the piece was to show things which were tiresome or to be avoided, why not show long lines at the airport or any of hundred of life's annoyances? Why the use of blood and gore. Someone could simply say it was just some liberals who wanting to dis Sara Palin's book. The extreme gorey over the top out of place unfunney nature of this bit indicates to me that their was something more sinister going on here. I think there was a serious attempt to influence peoples unconscious reactions and sub-conscious mental associations to Sarah Palin. Given Letterman's deep seated animus toward Sarah Palin, I don't think I am being paranoid here.

Heh. These are all of the visions I always have whenever I see David Letterman. He’s a left-wing, washed-up, perverted, narcissistic blowhard who still thinks he’s funny.

there was time when we was less political...he flipped out around the same time Garofalo did...maybe it was a career suicide pact? He’s deeply disturbed.

when I was in college, in the early 1980’s...we used to get together in my little apartment at 11:30pm to watch Letterman. He was so new and fresh. Now I can’t stand his mug. He is so full of hate and unhappiness. Like it’s always said, at 20 you get the face you’re born with, at 60 you get the face you deserve.

It has been said that all humor is rooted in cruelty.
Maybe. Maybe not.
But the sickness as you describe is rooted only in the psychotic hatred of the left against America.

I believe it was the great, great George Orwell who said that, and it was 50, not 60. Ironically, Orwell, always in poor health, died, I believe, at 48. NOBODY made better use of his limited time among us than did George Orwell.

My point is
this is something more than your normal pathetic Sarah Palin bashing
this is more than bad mouthing
this is more than transparent lies
this is more than hostile biased interviews
this is an attempt to use the psychological tools common to the advertising industry, to create an unconscious aversion/establish a sub-conscious highly negative reaction to Sarah Palin in viewers minds.

A protest to the FCC is in order. This is nothing other than Hate Speech. I wonder if there were warnings that the images may be disturbing?

that’s pretty messed up, but look on the bright side. Based on his audience 3s I doubt many people actually saw it.
To: Jonah Johansen
David has his own horrific images to bare, everyday when he gets home.

Given Letterman's deep seated animus toward Sarah Palin, I don't think I am being paranoid here. No different than FRs own Palin haters.
They just don't have nutroot writers providing them material.

Not only is David Letterman not funny, I honestly believe Satan is living in his heart!

Its one thing to make fun of Gerald Ford falling down stairs, but this is borderline psychotic.
Letterman needs medical attention.

Every time the left gets unhinged over Sarah, I go buy another copy of Going Rogue and give it to someone who has not read it.
Its a nice, constructive way to counter their evil without getting in the mud with them.
