Angry, frustrated, troubled, disappointed, disgust, disrespect - words not normally associated with holiday season. However, they were words Katie Couric used to describe where she sees the mood of country right now.
Couric, the anchor of the "CBS Evening News," in a live Facebook video chat on Dec. 22, took on illustrating her view of the populace - a not very sunny picture (emphasis added).
"I think more distant - I hate to say that, but I think, I think the economic situation in this country, I think, when people are struggling, that sometimes they need a place to vent their rage and to channel their rage and I think, I feel like right now in many ways, we're a very angry nation," Couric said. "Very frustrated, troubled and disappointed in many ways in terms of people feeling that the American dream just isn't within their reach. I mean I still think it's a place of incredible opportunity and entrepreneurship. But I just think that, I don't know - maybe it's because what I do for a living, I feel that the country is pretty polarized right now."

Maybe the headline should have been: “STOP THE PRESSES!!! COURIC FINDS A CLUE!”
Of course when the libs were organizing weekly marches on Washington to protest the Iraq War, we weren’t angry. And we weren’t angry when Hollyweird churned out endless, lousy anti-war movies. We weren’t angry either when lib writers wrote books and plays with the assassination of Pres. Bush as a topic. No, no anger there. (smirk)
It couldn’t have been Dennis Miller.
Not a single reference to a forgotten TV series from the 70s or an obscure but iconic Rock Band of the 80s.
“HOvering” was always something that irked my wife greatly.
Every time she’d use the women’s restroom in the Korean restaurants and bakeries that Korean women frequented in Ft. Lee NJ, she’d notice drops of urine all over the toilet seat, indicating that these women simply REFUSED to plop down on the seat itself. It annoyed her no end.
Actually, that’s an audacious statement for Katie.
How brash! ;-)
The takeover of our nation by unrepentant fascists DOES tend to make a lot of people angry.
Go figure.
Yeah cutie Katie, and you need to be b****-slapped.
We know that ultimately God is in charge and He will, at some point, bring this age to an end and there will be a final judgment. But in the meantime Christians are burdened with witnessing the acts of an evil and satanic force that occupies that seat of political power in our once great nation.
When we throw out the lying scum in congress next year, Katie will say the country threw a temper tantrum.
I’m angry at “journalists” like Katie.
