CBS's Katie Couric: 'I Feel Like Right Now in Many Ways, We’re a Very Angry Nation'

Angry, frustrated, troubled, disappointed, disgust, disrespect - words not normally associated with holiday season. However, they were words Katie Couric used to describe where she sees the mood of country right now.

Couric, the anchor of the "CBS Evening News," in a live Facebook video chat on Dec. 22, took on illustrating her view of the populace - a not very sunny picture (emphasis added).

"I think more distant - I hate to say that, but I think, I think the economic situation in this country, I think, when people are struggling, that sometimes they need a place to vent their rage and to channel their rage and I think, I feel like right now in many ways, we're a very angry nation," Couric said. "Very frustrated, troubled and disappointed in many ways in terms of people feeling that the American dream just isn't within their reach. I mean I still think it's a place of incredible opportunity and entrepreneurship. But I just think that, I don't know - maybe it's because what I do for a living, I feel that the country is pretty polarized right now."

I'm sure someone has already pointed this out ... the Katie Couric/Sarah Palin interview. The Charlie Gibson/Sarah Palin interview ... both over the top ‘get Sarah’ interviews by America liberal mainstream elitists. Sarah was only running for V/P on the McCain ticket ... yet she received far more scrutiny than BO. The reason ... she was considered a threat to the liberal medias already chosen one, the anointed one, the great one ... BO.

The country is angry because people like Katie Couric lie and crotch-dance their way into uber-high paying jobs as they look down on the rest of us for being kind, considerate, diligent human beings capable of worshiping God and thinking more of themselves than a colon-rectal promotional tour and another Sally Quinn cocktail party.

I might add, BTW, that right now there is a Yahoo news page about Pub State prosecutors looking to see if some of the “deals” in the Health Care bill can be whacked — not a bad article, actually. But on the right side of that page, there is a headline saying: “2009’s biggest scandals”, beside a picture of... Sarah Palin!?

In the actual article you then go to, she is called controversial and “divisive”, and her resignation gets hit, but since when are those things 0.0000001% as “scandalous” as the deals that were made to pass this Health Care bill?
