I’m wonder if we can ever capture the spirit of Jefferson’s quote, “When governments fear people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”
What we need is for the Congress to have an abject fear of the electorate in this country.

DoD, up until now, has at least scared most of the world's psychos into thinking twice before screwing with us. I'm not saying it's efficient or Procter and Gamble smart, but they do at least provide a useful, constitutional service.
I've been saying what your email says for years now about the rest of it, though. But you left out Amtrak. And the Dept. of Education. And... Oh never mind.
