A group called Americans for Prosperity in Nebraska gathered a crowd for a rally in Omaha to press Sen. Nelson on the reform bill.
Anger over senator Ben Nelson's support of health care reform.
Nearly 2,000 people rally in Omaha, hoping he's listening.
The group's message is two fold -- reconsider your vote Senator Nelson and remember your decision when elections roll around.
With their signs in hand, Nebraskans filled Omaha's Music Hall, rallying against the senate health care bill and Sen. Nelson's support for it.
"I think that's why we're all here. To get him to listen to us," said one rally attendee.
Nebraska State Auditor Mike Foley, State Treasurer Shane Osborn and a host of state senators also attended the rally.
"You cook up a deal in a back room that's essentially sleazy in my view to allow one state to be held harmless for medicaid enrollees to get that vote and make the rest of us go home and have 'em say " Why couldn't you in South Carolina and Georgia get that deal?" said Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham, of South Carolina

Something has got to give. I’m super ticked off and ready for a rebellion/revolution...anything to make DC sit up and take notice..

He was quoted today as saying well, there would have been just as many complaining on the other side if I voted no.
This is all a bunch of crap. It is not voting to keep a job, it is voting to do the “right thing”. The right thing was to make sure this monstrosity never saw the light of day. Someone above has it right, he will vote no for final passage because the commie party has 10 votes to play with.
In the end, that is where we will all get it, pun intended.
Communists do NOT listen to the people or care about any silly polls. They are dictators - why should they listen? That’s why MAO-bama and his supporters in Congress (incl the phony blew dogs) are choosing to enact their socialism and not be concerned with future “elections”. The fix is in.....
He’ll vote against the final bill when they only need 50 votes. That way he can claim that he voted his conscience on abortion.

I am thinking the best thing we could all do is liquidate all our assets and withold any assistance. Cancel our 401 k plans. Buy nothing we do not absolutely need. Kind of a Chemotherapy to bankrupt the Federal Monster but still be able to make a comeback after the Carnage. Our continued participation in this system only delays the outcome.
Many Nebraskans must be positively mortified at this.
I hope.
How does Nelson go home after such an atrocious voting record? How does he go out to a restaurant? Face the guys at golf? Family? Go shopping? Anything? Wouldn’t he be harrassed and ridiculed in public? This goes for any of these a-holes.
How does he face himself? He goes from being a champion of the unborn to their willing executioner, and all for thirty lousy pieces of silver.
