Texas isn’t going to severe it’s ties with the union. 99% of Texan’s, myself included are Americans first.

You are correct. Besides, I really wonder if Perry would have the gonads which I seriously doubt. He's playing the crowd right now, push come to shove, he won't do anything.

There's more than meets the eye at work here, we're just not seeing behind the curtain.

I’m a Texan by birth...but no longer live there. I’ll always be a Texan...I guess it’s that 3rd grade Texas history I learned. Remember the Alamo!

I love my country...but I love Texas especially.

Americans first

Americans first or America first? Which America would that be? The free America that our forefathers fought and died for and the one to which freedom-loving people from all over the world risked their lives to come? Or the Socialist-Dictatorship-impostor-governmental version of America currently being formed?

Many Texans want nothing to do with that second America. Neither do I.

But what if they come to believe, as they just might, that “America” isn’t out there any more; that its absolute antithesis has taken its place?

Then y’all sink with the rest of us. Because playing by their rules and doing our civic duty’s gotten us halfway to slavery.

The union you’re sticking by is in the hands of maniacs.

I and many other Texans agree so long as America is free. I won't be ruled by a tyrannical government. If breaking away is what it takes to be free then so be it.

Then how does that square with statistics which suggest as many as 1/3 of Texans support secession, at least theoretically? If being “American” meant hunting down your neighbor SS-style for resisting the imposition of unconstitutional laws, do you really think your fellow Texans would put up with that? I hope not. Many of us are looking to you to help lead us out of this mess. Nullification first; secession only if absolutely necessary. I know it’s hard to imagine it happening right now, but when push comes to shove, please don’t let us down.

99% of Texans...are Americans first.

Most of us in every state would say that about ourselves. We're referring to the free country designed by our forefathers who wrote a Constitution to guide us and protect our rights.

We will not accept a Socialist, Communist, Marxist American and I suggest that Texans won't either.

There was a time what that was a good attitude. No longer. The America to which you refer and offer loyalty does not exist. You should be Texans first.

You will soon be a bootlicker of the Marxists, you will not be an American. The Union means nothing now. It is gone. We have an Oligarchy and those only eventually lead to civil war.
