National Strike-We The People Strike Back against an out of control government.
National Strike - January 20, 2010 - Congress Ignores The People - The People Strike Back ^ | 12-20-2009 | kozanne

My Fellow Americans,

When King George III of The British Empire had concluded his French and Indian war in 1763 he lacked to funds to pay for the costly event. His answer was to impose tax after tax on the colonies of America. He started confiscating their monies by taxing every activity of life and creating government subsidized monopolies on everything from courier services to tea. The King wanted to control every aspect of American life and bring as much money into the government coffers as possible.

We are, as I write this post, a mere six hours away from the United States Senate will vote on Cloture that begins a water fall effect to bring about government run health care by Christmas day. A move that will put the government literally in the business of valuing life, deciding how much you should weigh, and forcing you to pay for health care in order to be a citizen in good standing.

This is not the first, and certainly will not be the last power grab of this congress or presidential administration. They have consistently over reached their constitutional authority and shrugged their collective shoulders when called on it. Those of us that have written letters, emailed, called, marched, picketed and questioned in town hall meetings what authority our federal government was using have been laughed at and mocked. We have been ignored.

When President Bush forced through a mammoth bank bailout for some of the most powerful institutions on the planet We The People objected that we did not have the authority or the resources to do so, but no one listened. When President Obama pushed through the government takeover of those institutions and several others We The People said no, and the liberal Lame Stream Media mocked us. These events led to CNBC correspondent Rick Santelli calling for a TEA Party from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The TEA Party movement was born on February 27, 2009.

Over the last year we have done everything we can to get the attention on the Washington DC Proletariat that thinks they can rule over us and thumb their nose at the founding fathers and our founding documents. They are not listening. They have continued to spend and encroach on our rights and freedoms by passing EPA regulations calling our very breathe a dangerous threat to the world, spending without regard to the hazards, driving our dollar below that of third world countries and now taking over one sixth of the economy and forcing all of us into taxation slavery.

My friends it is time for all of us to stand together, to unite the movement and make a stand that shows those in Washington that we will not forfeit our freedoms to become slaves in a Socialist social experiment that We The People do not want. This is why we are calling the National Day of Strike action for January 20, 2010, the one year anniversary of the inauguration of Barack Obama. We The People are the engine of the American economy. We are the genius of the American way of life. We are the host of the parasites in Congress that provide the life blood of tax revenue for an irresponsible and unresponsive organism that only seeks it's own growth and well being.

The National Day of Strike-We The People Strike Back is an act of civil disobedience that is necessary to show our out of control government that we are serious about reigning in their un-constitutional confiscation of our finances, our freedoms and our rights. On January 20, 2010 We The People will strike at the life blood of that parasitic congress by denying them the tax revenue for one day. We will not work. We will not shop, or buy anything that is taxed. We will not renew any licenses, tags, file any government filings and we will not remain silent. On This day we will fire a shot across the bow of Congress that we rule them not the other way around.

These are times that try men's souls my friends. I have not in my life time seen a more hell bent move to take our great nation to the extreme left. We are lurching toward Marxism and Socialism and we are being led there by the very people who swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic, yet they are the enemies. We cannot sit idly by and allow what so many generations of warriors and patriots have sacrificed their lives to defend.

Please help us grow this event across organizational, party or geographical lines. Now is the time for us to all stand together. We need leaders and organizers in every state of the union. More details will be coming out this week. UNITE THE RIGHT TO WIN THE FIGHT. For Freedom, Allen Hardage National Operations Director

If only a tiny portion of the populace would listen to me and STOP PAYING TAXES that they are not obligated to pay, we could bring this monster to its knees within the month. :)

Yes, but it can't be a tiny portion. Any effective tax revolt must involve so many citizens that the IRS/corrupt Congress can't bring it to a halt by making examples of a few.

I wonder if even Freepers have the courage of the Founder during the Revolution who told the Army to fire on his own house to stop the British. His house was demolished, his property was lost and he died in poverty. Yet America's freedom and liberty was built on such personal sacrifices.

Isn't that like the minority groups burning down their own neighborhoods because they didn't like the Rodney King verdict? THESE MARXISTS DON'T GIVE A SH!T. They'll laugh at the attempt and the State Run Media won't mention it.

We have to physically shut down Washington D.C. All patriots in the '57' states need to confront their senators and congressmen at their local offices or homes. These Marxist SCUMBAGS have declared war on the American people and are terrorizing us during Christmas. Why should any of these TREASONOUS MARXISTS enjoy a peaceful holiday. They shouldn't.

I doubt one day will accomplish anything, not purchasing gasoline for one day never produced any results because you have a need for the 'stuff'.

Has anyone given any thought to what we do to insure communications amongst people of like persuasion? When an animal is cornered (which may happen if Reid cannot produce or Nancy refuses to go along, however unlikely that is) they will get really dangerous. I can see a remote possibility of - - -
1) Too many conservatives clogging up DC
2) Man-child declares Martial Law
3) Talk radio is shuttered
4) Conservative internet sites like FR will be blocked by the FCC - the MARXISTS just recently passed that new law for times of emergency

How do we communicate and/or get directions from our leader? Who is the conservative movement leader? Right now tea parties are not directed by anyone or any organization.

Goodness knows the libtards certainly have organizations and can come together with their hired thugs in no time.

There were 4,000 tax leagues formed in the great depression which successfully fought the government tax increases.

rather than tangle with the IRS why not tax protest locally?

pay no property taxes - house, car, boat, unemployment taxes, local business taxes etc. for six months?

shut down the states and the feds will have a real problem on their hands

We can stop paying sales tax tomorrow. Just stop shopping except for basic survival needs. States are living hand to mouth on that revenue. They’d feel it fast. Very easy to organize a sales tax revolution.

Saying no to taxes is what the tea party colonists did. It worked for them.

And if you read the next day that a woman died because an ambulance couldn’t make it through your intentionally caused traffic jam, what will you tell her family? Your idea is simply evil.

Here’s a thought. How about camping out on the WH lawn until the lamestream/mainstream media channels (ABC, CBS, NBC) report the protest, the reason FOR the protest, AND report the numbers that showed up accurately, instead of saying a few thousand. Unless or until that happens, we don’t leave and we make it known. They would HAVE to report on it.

Any massive tax protest would have to be very vocal in making demands known...and would need to be covered by the mainstream media outlets. Part of the reason for protesting could also be the FACT that our lamestream media has been taken over by leftists that refuse to report the news, and instead only report what makes Zero look good.

Don't even try that type of guilt trip scenario on me. That would be exactly the response I would expect from the left and the MSM.

Thank God the Founders didn't have that attitude. They did much worse than what I propose. Or the Civil Rights protestors for that matter.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!” Samuel Adams

>a few million taxpayers changing their w-4’s for a day or a pay period

THAT is the first idea that has made sense. But not for a day or a pay period -- permanently, going forward from that day.

This "day of strike" thing has been posted many times on FR and has been debunked each time. People not spending money on day N, but instead on day N-1 or day N+1, would have no effect except on small business owners who are more critically dependent on daily cash flow.

However, if you get millions of people to change the money withheld from pay, which is the $$ that the gov't steals on a regular basis .... NOW you're talking about an idea that will have a punch.

Your idea MUST be accompanied by:
"... and let the states KNOW what you're doing, and WHY you're doing it. Convince your family and neighbors to do it also. Publicize it. Call the local media and get them in on the story."

If on January the 21st comes around and even a third of workers stayed home, I’ll apologize. However, I’m convinced that this is a pipe dream doomed to failure. A handful will strike and everyone who laughed before will be laughing again.

Unfortunately, I believe you are right.

I'd suggest running some ideas past one or both of the sites mentioned above:

http://strike120.ning.com/

http://pushbackuntil.com/

Pushbackuntil.com has something similar (a traffic slowdown) already in the planning stages but just for D.C. This needs to be expanded to the whole country at the same time so the MSM can't ignore it. It also needs to be much more aggressive, while at the same time being peaceful, so it gets attention. Creating massive traffic jams will do that. Shut everything down for a few hours.

Revelation 13
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

It’s just one tool in the toolbox of new tactics. It should have been employed much earlier this year.

Finally - we're getting to tactics that are designed for impact, rather than wasting time & money organizing for media attention. I only wish Freepers had taken me seriously back in the spring. But alas, they just kept telling everyone to call, fax, email...blah, blah, blah.

Stopping traffic is an excellent tool to bring everything to a stop. We MUST bring them to their knees.
