It would be more productive to take over newspapers. And get all the commercial advertisers to boycott the Communist-controlled ones.

The pubic servants won’t listen to us. Rush said they’re ignoring our attempts to communicate. They won’t listen until they fear us. How do we make them fear us? Your guess is as good as mine. We’re running in circles waving our arms. As in circle jerk.

Looking over the crowd on 9/12, and not seeing a single major news outlet there to cover the event, I realized that the media and government are afraid of us.....the middle class silent majority American who pays the bills. The images of senior citizens, priests, young people dressed in shirts and ties, being carted out of the halls of the House of Representatives before their vote on healthcare were most effective. Someone else mentioned the image of middle class conservatives being pelted by water cannons would also be effective. My feeling is surrounding the Capital where we can be up close with our representatives is the best way to go.

Texas isn’t going to severe it’s ties with the union. 99% of Texan’s, myself included are Americans first.

There was a time what that was a good attitude. No longer. The America to which you refer and offer loyalty does not exist. You should be Texans first.

The whole concept of the United States in the first place was a banding together of individual states. The federal government was to have no power not specifically delegated to it - by the states. States’ rights should always trump the fed.

Texas was a Republic once before and we can be so again. We may be the last hope for freedom.

On 4/15/10 the goal, IMO, is not so much to sway our legislators, they have made it clear they do not represent us, but to intimidate them and....to hopefully light the spark of rebellion in the rest of the country.

I do not use the term rebellion figuratively.

We must overwhelm DC and shut the city down. Is anyone going with me?

This is a waste of time. I am not shutting down my business for this.

We we should be doing is “no service for congressmen”. No service to congressmen, wives, husbands, children, STAFFERS of those members of congress. Starve them out.

Shun those congress critters and those associated.

(and while we are at it, the same to the members of the msm.)

in the 1960’s the flower children and potheads used to do this type of protest nonsense and they expected a huge sympathy protest to join them.

This is like the more recent protesters who wanted to take over in Copenhaagen (fradenhagen) and have a “people’s congress.”

In the end this just makes the conservative movement look bad and (and you are right) laughable.

Rush briefly swerved into this idea (a national strike) for a moment, but concluded that people won’t do what it takes. I fear he may be right. We should be withholding our life energy - OUR PRODUCTIVITY to get their attention.

Make no mistake. Texas secession means civil war. Not war between Texas and the United States, but a civil war within Texas between those who want to secede and those who do not. There will be no winner.

I'll be the judge of that. Above my fireplace rests the flag folded by the honor guard at my father's funeral. It's not a lonestar flag, it's the flag of the United States. I'm an American.

Sorry, but in the 21st century state citizenship is a 90 day grace period before you have to transfer your driver's license. The days where the average citizen lives and dies within 50 miles of his birth are long gone.

I'm an American.

As am I. I am sick in my heart at the methodical destruction of the Republic taking place. I am also realistic.

First, I am not going down with the ship if I have an alternative. Which, unfortunately, I don't. If I had the financial wherewithal I'd be buying property in a decent lesser developed country and making getaway plans now. I mean that sincerely.

Second, the rebellion of a state or two are probably the only events that have any hope of derailing this destruction. IOW, being a Texan first may be helpful in saving the union.

That said, yes I am an American. But I believe we have an illegal government and I do not owe any loyalty to it. I pay all of my taxes because of the negative consequences visited upon me if I don't. Not because of patriotism.
